I just learned today of the passing of Roland Burnett in 2000.  Here is the obituary.  May he rest in peace.

Roland Leon Burnett of 1033 Howard St., 2nd Floor died on October 23, 2000 in the Bronx, NY. He was 49. He worked for the Dietetic Department, VA Hudson Valley Care system, Montrose, NY. He was born on September 13, 1951 in Raleigh, NC to Arthur Junior Burnett and Helen Vinell Winston. He graduated from Peekskill High School in 1970. He lived in Peekskill for most of his life. He was a member of Cedar Rock Baptist Church, Wake City, NC. His favorite sport was basketball. He is survived by his father, Arthur Junior Burnett, Peekskill, his sons, Ronnie L. Davis, Peekskill, Roland A. Searight, Syracuse, Elton Burnett, Syracuse, Jerry Searight, Syracuse, Arthur Kenyata Burnett, Syracuse, daughter, Ronda Burnett, Syracuse, sister, Patricia Burnett, Peekskill, aunts, uncles, nieces and 12 grandchildren. Wake Friday, October 27, 2000 9-11 am Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 648 Harrison Avenue, Peekskill, NY. Funeral service Friday, October 27, 2000 11 am Mt. Lebanon Baptist church.
