Janice McCloskey-Harper a Highland Falls resident for the past 17 years and a former Peekskill resident, died June 14, 2002 at the Hudson Valley Hospital Center. She was 50. Janice was born on January 25, 1952 in Peekskill to Harold Lee and Hazel Helen Hayes McCloskey. She graduated from Peekskill High School in 1970 and was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. On March 24, 1973, she married Don Harper at West Point. Janice worked for AAFFES, the West Point PX as a sales associate for over 10 years before retiring in 1997. Janice is survived by her daughter and son-in-law. Dawn M. and Tom Lent of Beacon, her son, Brian L. Harper of Garrison, a brother, Robert McCloskey of Fishkill and a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Beverly McCloskey of Buchanan, grandsons, Christopher and Alexander Lent both of Beacon, cousins, Helen and Donald Lape of Peekskill and several other cousins, nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the E.O CURRY FUNERAL HOME 313 No. James St., Peekskill on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
