07/26/08 03:55 PM #2     Crissie Spoelstra (Rozendaal) Well Tim, it looks as if PCHS' class of '78 is a little bit bashful. I on the other hand have a tendency not to know when to shut up. So here's something to maybe get us started. There are two kinds of people in this world-those who believe in coincidence and those who believe that everything happens for a reason. I am one of those who believe that nothing is coincidence and God is in control of everything in our lives. A few weeks ago I got an interview for a job based on the fact that my first name was spelled exactly like this guy's cousin's name. I got the job and it is perfect for me. Coincidence? No Way! God at work? Oh yeah! Anybody have any "coincidences" in their lives they would like to share?

07/31/08 09:54 PM #3     Fred DeHaan One absurd "coincidence" I playfully entertain is the linkage between Chicago Cub baseball scores and the good and bad innings they have when compared to when I am watching them or listening to their games on the radio. Living close to Chicago my wife and I laugh whenever I've flipped on the game with the Cubs trailing an opponent and almost without fail they catch up and take the lead within an inning or two after I've "tuned in." It's all fun and games, and of course, there is NO correlation between my watching/listening and the Cubs' success, but it is a "coincidence" that entertains us frequently. Go PCHS Eagles, Go Cubs Go! It's cool to see so many classmates with photos at Wrigley Field, too. Fred DeHaan
