Yes! Attending Reunion
Comments:

I really miss everyone and have a lot of great memories from Pennsauken High. I really wish I stayed more in touch with everyone, but we all know how that goes. I admire those of you who have stayed in touch with high school friends, you are lucky. After the 5 year reunion, I did however, hook up with two classmates I didn't really know in school, and we formed a band that played in South Jersey and Philly. I had a lot of fun and made some great friendships. After the band broke up, I was in several bands over the years and still enjoy music when I find the time.

Right out of school, I went to Glassboro College (Rowan University now) and after switching my major three times (writer, acting/dancing and finally wildlife biology) I graduated in 1990 with a BS in Biology. In college, as I got more exposed to animal cruelty, I became an animal activist and rescuer. I did my first animal rescue when I broke into a lab at my college (shhhhhhh) and took a guinea pig that was being abused by the student. I also interned at a wildlife refuge caring for injured wildlife and rehabilitating them back into the wild.

After I graduated, I worked for Camden County for 15 years as an Environmental Health Investigator (like an Environmental Cop). This job brought me into Camden, where I found many animals in abusive situations and is how I rescued many of the animals I have now. I had just been promoted to supervisor of my department when I was forced onto early retirement/disability due to an injury.

I was married, but that didn't go so well and I'll leave it at that. I am still recovering and have another surgery coming up, but have decided to take advantage of this change forced onto me by exploring careers working directly with animals. I have also decided to start writing again...you never know, change can be good.

I found Trebor (aka Woo) walking on Broadway in Camden, covered in bite marks and open wounds. He even had a bone sticking out of his shoulder. As torn up as he was, he managed to wag his tail when we offered him a bone. As you can see, he has completely healed and he loves to be loved.
