Steve Ohman's wife, Sherri, just posted this on FB.

"Be still and know that I am God."

"I'm retiring from the cancer battle and am ready to go Home" Three years ago, Steve began a battle with bone cancer, and with the Lord's help, has done it with a strength and perseverance that can only come from God. We claimed the verse below and can truly say we KNOW our Heavenly Father in a way we didn't before Him before.
After learning of further cancer spread recently, Steve is retiring from the battle and is prepared for his Home going. We've been told he has days to maybe a week or so....only God knows that. Watching Steve and walking through this, we are recipients of a peace that truly passes all understanding. God's grace! Humanly, this is so hard and we are hurting, but we look forward to a aweet reunion in heaven.
Thank you for praying for us. Please continue to pray that his home going would be peaceful and as pain free as possible. Please pray for our sons and me as we spend as much time as possible with him. God is going to heal him soon, just not here on earth.

I got to see Steve in April. It has been a battle for sure. I know he and Sherri and their family covet our prayers. Thanks for posting here Ruthanne

I just corresponded with Marilyn Ohman, Steve's mom. She and Dave have been in IN all week with Steve and Sherri and their boys along with Steve's siblings. The siblings left today, but Dave and Marilyn are staying. She wrote, "We know so many have been praying and we are all at peace. Some of Steve's last words yesterday were "I am happy." He spoke to Pastor Schettler yesterday morning and then slept. He is unresponsive today but is calm. Our prayer is that he will go soon."

know they would all appreciate some intercession at this significant life change. We are getting more and more reasons to look forward to heaven.

Thank you for the update. Iris reached out to let me know what you had posted. We have been praying for Steve, Sherri, & the boys for so long. My heart breaks for the family.
