Lance Lindsey was a year behind us in school. I remember all the deaths like yesterday. Amy Joslin was my best friend. Mike Delgado and I dated and Jenny Hughes was a close friend of mine. I still visit Amy and Mike often. They are buried in the same places as my sister and my father.

Change of subject....I know how to get in touch with Stacie Crochet and Jackie Provencio. I'll ask them to join us.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!
Take care, Nickie

Correction on my part: Lance was in our grade. I did some checking after I posted my last comment. I remembered incorrectly because I remembered a friend of mine in the grade behind us saying Lance was in his grade. My apologies.

Another correction on someone else's part: Mike and Jenny died our sophomore year. Amy died our senior year. THAT I know is correct. Mike and Jenny died in 1985. Amy died in 1988.

I stand corrected.

yes, Lance was in our grade, i sat next to him in English and he lived in my neighborhood. he was quiet and shy but also VERY nice...he lent me a book once.
i could be wrong, but i think Lance, Mike and Jenny all died in the same week...it might have been within 2 weeks, my memory's not what it used to be.
i DO remember that Amy Joslin died right before graduation. Nickie, i remember you telling me in the hallway...
man, i had no idea this site was going to make me cry.
ya'll better not do this to me at the reunion!

Mike, Jenny and Lance all died in the beginning of November 1985. Pflugerville High was 'famous' that year for having 3 students die in the same week in different situations. I still have the newspaper article on the event. Amy died May 9, 1988. Stacie Crochet (Carter) and I visited Amy last May on the 20th anniversary of her death. I would visit Jenny and Lance but I don't know where they are buried. Does anyone know?

I've been hoping and hoping to find someone that still has our senior class portrait. If anyone still has theirs and can scan it, I'd be forever in your debt. It's wider than a normal photo so it may need to be scanned in twice - once for each half. I can put them together myself.

On that note, if anyone has a photo they want resized, a person cut out or face-blocked, I'd be happy to help. My email is CliffhangerTX@embarqmail.com

Have any idea where Kimberly Kruse is? I am surprised that she has not been involved in the reunion.

Guess I should check the message section more often. I am planning on adding our deceased classmates to the "In Memory" section, but there is a special way that it has to be done, and I need to read the instructions on that. I would also like to scan the yearbook and add that on here, but both take time and this has been my busiest summer ever. I'm in charge of a retreat this weekend, but am hoping that after that I can spend some time "updating" this site and adding some features. Thanks for the input and keep spreading the word.

I tried to post a picture several times, but got an error message from the site. Maybe there is something that needs to be fixed? I'll try again next week..

I am very sorry to say that I will not be able to make it to the Reunion. My family and I currently live in Dubai but are planning a move back to Austin before the end of the year. It was great to see the profiles so far online. I did send a few emails out to those already registered. I did also send the link to Stephaine McCurry who currently lives in Lago Vista with her husband and two sons and to Joan Havard who still lives in Austin. I would love to see more profiles since I cannot make it to the Reunion. To get more people registered, it may be a matter of getting those already registerd to encourage their friends to register. Thanks to Cynthia Hedges and Chris Shamy for getting in touch through Classmates.com. All the best to everyone before, during and after the Reunion... Hopefully see you the 25th Reunion!!! Ok, I suggested us listing our businesses if we have one and offering discounts to 1988 grads. Got no response. Well, here's what I will do. Due to respect I won't post links and such but detailed discussions can be made via my email at the end of this post.
I make pics/portraits out of wood (with a scrollsaw not lasers). Generally I charge $200 for a single person portrait and $75 per person in the portrait after that. For all of YOU I will reduce that to $150 for a single person portrait and $25 for each additionaly person in the photo.
If you want this then you must email me a scanned photo (scanned very large) that is clearly focused and close up (shoulders up is best). If it is an antique photo and you have no other then I will work with it, but know I can only cut the detail I can see.
Again, this post is not meant as spam, it is merely to offer 1988 grads a discount. If you want to see more of my work go to http://myspace.com/artistic_cowboy30 . To discuss anything, email me at artistic_cowboy30@yahoo.com or artistic_cowboy30 on yahoo messenger.

Greetings, all!
I currently live in NY but will be heading down south this Monday to Austin and will be there for the reunion. My husband is unable to join us because he just opened up a restaurant and is busy with that. So since I am a teacher and am not working this summer, me and the kiddos are going to take advantage of these awesome gas prices and take my big ass SUV on a road trip. Michelle Harvey was so gracious to offer to drive with me, so her and her kids fly into JFK on Sunday and then we're off! (with 5 kids total!) See you then. I wil post a more detailed profile once I get a minute. See yall!

Hey Everyone,

I'm helping Briana plan some of the details with the reunion and am the one in charge of setting up the on-line payment account (w/ pay pal) to purchase the Cool River event tickets. Never done this before. Enlisting aid from a techie this weekend and will hopefully have it up by Monday, July 14th. Sorry for the delay. Looking forward to visiting with everyone at the reunion. Tons to talk about....

Roland Trevino

Hello everyone! This is actually Wendi Trevino (Woods). Roland never has the time to be on the computer, so I am doing all of this for him. Some of you might remember that I moved our senior year, so I am not technically a PHS graduate, but since I went to school in Pflugerville for 4 years, and know most everyone, I feel like I am. We have a family reunion the same weekend as the class reunion, so we will try to make as many events as we can. We will probably come to Hannover's later Fri. night and part of our family reunion is being held at Main Event on Saturday, so we will see some of you then.

We stay in contact with Jimmy Nieto and Lisa Seymour, so I will pass this info. along to them.

So Wendi Woods married Roland Trevino and Julie O'Dell married Ben Richards. Awesome! Does anybody know any other Pflugerville students who got married to each other? Just curious!

Hello all

Jenny is buried off of burnet road and mopac. Iam not sure of the burial site. I have only visited it once as it is still extremely hard for me and I have not been able to bring myself out there. I miss her dearly and think about her everyday.

Hi all! Like Wendi,I moved my senior year but have some great memories and friends I would love to see and find out how the last 20 years has been. I love all the pictures posted. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to get together.

Hey, Class of '88! It has been great to see what everyone has been up to for the last 20 years. It's amazing that none of us has aged a bit! Vicki, Briana & I have been planning our Reunion weekend for several months and we can't believe it's almost here. We've been trying to get in touch with as many people as we can. If you know of someone who hasn't heard about our website or about the reunion, please forward the information to them. Also, we will have cards that you can sign in memory of our deceased members. After the reunion, the cards will be sent to their parents. Does anyone know where the parents of Tanya Cass, Ron Durham, Michael Delgado, Jenny Hughes, Lance Lindsey, Michael N., or Amy Joslin are currently living? I would appreciate an email with their address if you have it. Thanks,Jules!

I didn't see Shelly Wilson's name on here. Does anyone know how to get in touch with her? You guys remember Shelly, right?

Anita Tidwell (Suazo)

Hello, all.

I just discovered this site yesterday. I'm glad to read all of your profiles and to feel the excitement bubbling about our upcoming reunion. I wish my family and I could make it, but we have been traveling all Summer and I just can't bring myself to load my 2 kids on a plane out of New Mexico again. (Can I get an AMEN from all the fellow parents out there!) I will make a plan to come to the 25th, though, now that I know where to go for info.

OH, speaking of that future reunion, and to anyone in charge of it: I was probably one of the few kids who actually carried a video camera around with them to high school. (It was as big as boom boxes we used to love!) I'm no professional by any stretch, but have some footage of many, many kids in our class, our teachers, and shots of our school as a whole. If VHS tapes are still working in 5 years, maybe I will get creative and compile some sort of 80s music video presentation for our class. Unless I am the only one who is interested in revisiting the view of our 17-yr-old football team's tight ends from the sidelines, it should make for a great show. I even have video of a bunch of us in a Miss Pflugerville pageant! Feel free to contact me if interested at anitasuazo@comcast.net.

You all take care and have a great time at the reunion.

I remember Shelly Wilson from pre-high school years. She and I and Debra Tetens were "School Bus" buddies, and Shelly was the first girl I ever went steady with. She gave me an R2D2 ceramic figure for... my birthday? or Christmas? Can't remember now. But I still have that R2D2....!

Serena Bennett

Hey everyone! It's so good to see everyone chat as if no one ever lost contact. I guess you can say that's how tight knit the class of '88 is! I wish I could be there and I'm really jealous that I can't be, but I am hoping that someone will post some good pictures afterwards. I'm really enjoying the comments and pictures that everyone has out there. It's really nice to see how we all have matured (if you really want to say that we have) Has anyone heard from Mitch Krivokucha? He was at our last reunion but haven't seen that he has registered. Hope all is doing well for everyone out there. Have fun at the Reunion and you all be safe!

07/28/08 03:34 PM #32

Stacie Crochet (Carter)

I think Mitch lives in Georgetown but I haven't seen or spoke with him. I am in touch with Toni Davis and am trying to get her to come this weekend. I can't wait to see everyone this weekend.

Briana Tolleson (Roehling)

Serena,
Stephanie McCurry Lane's husband (professional photographer) will be taking pictures at the reunion and will post them on his site (see main page) for people to order. You will be able to view them there. I will also have my camera and will try to do some sort of video slide show to post here after the reunion (although it may take a while). I'm sure others will have camera's as well and we will figure something out.

I'm very excited about it. Julie Galindo Tolleson and Vicki Priesmeyer have been working hard to get everything ready with Hanover's and Cool River, so I know it's going to be great.
