Kara Kelly

After graduation, I attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA and majored in Television Management. I loved living in that area of the country with real seasons and the snow. Loved seeing it, but HATED shoveling it and dressing for it. So I moved back to Texas.

After graduation I worked in television for a few years. But then moved into advertising and worked at an agency for 8 years. During my time there I was an OOH buyer….OOH stands for Out Of Home. In that position I purchased and type of advertising that is outside of your home: mainly billboards but could also encompass coffee selves, sky writing, side walk chalk, airport advertising, or wrapping cars just to name a few.

I grew restless with the industry and went to work for UT as a career advisor and taught a course. I absolutely loved it. Working with student….Teaching is my true calling. I just finished an alternative teaching course and am now looking for a Teaching position.

I remember the drama then english teacher Ms Cunningham. She always talked about children I can't remember their names, her son( remember he was cute) and daughter (who had an car accident because she was reaching for a biscuit?). Strange the things that you remember.
