School Story:
Wow! All these pictures and comments have really jogged my memory........
*Our moms hanging clothes out to dry( on those poles) * Going into someone's house through the back door *On Halloween, going across Cheltenham Ave. and getting bags with a big candy bar and a nickel *While we played into the summer night, our parents sat on the lawn chairs out front. *Nate the milkman putting the bottles into the carrier on the railing * The Friehofer man delivering bread * The idea of a "step neighbor" - Diane and Alan Russ where are you? * Flame Hardware, Haber's Pharmacy, Norman Ben Hair Salon, Grant's 5&10 *How about how easy it was to park, especially on the hill of Fariston Dr? We're probably the best parallel parkers * Most of all, the feeling of belonging and safety - everyone looked out for each other and no matter what you were like, everone just played together. Too bad the kids of today don't have the same feling.
