Good Morning GHS Class of 1960, Please be advised, Audrey Bush (Boddy) departed this life in early July 2016, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After high school, she married a military man and resided in various cities across the United States. Most recently, before returning to the area, she resided in beautiful Waianae, Hawaii! -which indeed, was her absolute favorite. She lived in Waianae until late 2001, when she moved to Cheltenham, Pennsylvania, where she shared a home with her son and daughter-in-law. She was an avid reader, a beautiful and prolific writer and a terrific chef. One could always count on a note or two (or three or four, Lol!!) from Audrey during the year. She owned hundreds (really no exaggeration!) of cooking books. She was never one to cower to new opportunities or change, she embraced whatever came her way. I would be amiss, if I did not mention her love of old movies. -black and white, her absolute favorites! She left a son, Stephen, daughter-in-law, Patricia, a brother, Bill (Wm), five (5) granddaughters, and many great-grandchildren to mourn her departure. It must be said, her daughter-in-law took to Audrey like they were biological mother and daughter. As Audrey's days grew, some daily activities became quite difficult for her to complete. Her daughter-in-law spent countless HOURS prepping, cooking, cleaning, and structuring things for Audrey's comfort. Notwithstanding the others that are left with Audrey's absence, but Patricia, my mother, is standing strong but quite honestly hurting deeply. Sorrowfully submitted. I only wish I could have found this prior to her “departure”. She would’ve loved to write you all, and share her truly awesome life’s travels.
