While Adelphia seems like a very nice place to hold a reunion there seems to be enough interest in holding the reunion someplace in South Philly. (kind of like goin home!) Of course, I am willing to go along with the majority. I think St Rich's class of '79 should post opinions about this. We don't want Lori/Maria do a lot of unneccessary work here. and we want everyone to be able to come!!

I was just giving my opinion that we should have had a vote as to where the reunion was held. I was asked by Lori to get St. Richard's hall which I did. I was told everyone wanted it there. 11 people contacted me with their displeasure with Adelphia. I told them post your response. No one was asked about Adelphia it was just booked. There's some confusion. I am not on the committee, I did not have a vote in choosing Adelphia. The people who are contacting me think otherwise. Why is your opinion considered drama? I'll go wherever the majority decides. My personal opinion is people feel as though this was just put on us, the place and date without discussing it in the forum. I know you can't please everybody, but no one was asked.

SR Hall would have been alot of work as far as DJ, Catering, Bartening Set up and Decor.....Plus knowing most of us are employed and have families we were just tryong to make this less hectic and more enjoyable for each of us.

Mike posted hold off ,that's when people were asking me what was up! they assumed i booked the hall and cancelled.To everyone i had no decision,i don't think the committee should be insulted if people post an opinion,everyone appreciate's what was done.I don't appreciate my post being removed from a public forum!

I don't feel that it is taken that anyone is insulted I just think the committee was thinking on the lines of how much would have been done if we had it at the hall, I know that you know we looked into galdos and Benny the Bums and a few others - most places wanted 75 people or more and that would have been riduclous. We can even seem to get 42.... And I do understand what you are saying about the location....price...etc...at this point to be honest so much has been done and we are all tired of the back and forth ...whatever comes of this so be it. I just think and this is my opinion that this is too much drama this back and forth ..lol- I personally cant see what the big deal is about having it at adel...maybe I am missing somehting here......???????

I'm having financial trouble as well & I think that Adelphias is ripping us off. My brother does catering on the side,my girlfriends daughter is a bartender @ benny the bums & my neighbor owns Nick's Extreme DJ,so I'm sure I can up w/a lower price that everyone could agree on. 03/06/09 08:27 PM #1113     Sal Giafaglione I realize we are in an economic downspin, but don't look past money vs a GREAT get together. Think of it as a night out, we all deserve it! The DJ is booked, I hired him, not expensive (used to spin at shampoo, adel, and other clubs, he'll go anywhere. Here's my opinion since everyone else is posting theirs: after looking at the new post of the party: 2 hours open bar, choice of 3 entrees, etc for $75 is not bad. Where can you go to dinner for less than $75 with 2 hours of drinking? not many places....re-read the post. STR: Any Air Conditioning..wasn't when we went there (and now I need more oxygen than ever..I plan on dancing...lmao) metal chairs, set up (table cloths etc, decorating, bartender, caterer, drinks, DUST, clean-up, tips, all cost money as well). adel: read the post, my opinion, no brainer. We can still meet in front of the church at 6:30 and get to adels by 8:00. Larry, you get the photographer!

So therefore we need to get this money down by monday and we need a count b/c we are putting the deposit out of our pockets and that would not be fair to us if we lost it !
