OK everyone LISTEN TO THE MAMA! I have had a lot of practice with this kind of situation. TAKE A DEEP BREATH, AND BLOW IT OUT THEN DO IT AGAIN.

I strongly believe everyone who participated in trying to put this reunion together had good intentions for everyone. I don't think anyone should get their feelings hurt because everyone is greatful for the time and effort you put into planning this event.

Personally, $75 is a lot of money for me especially since I can't drink and I probably won't eat much but that is because I have health issues. I would have preferred the reunion was in South Philly but I was not the one doing the work planning it.

Bottom line for me is that it didn't matter how much or where, I just wanted to see everyone again.

Let's remember that we are all at different stages in our lives as far as health, finances, locations, life styles...

I truly believe just having good music, something to eat and drink and most importantly all of us together is all we need. Let's keep it simple and stop the bickering.

If I can help in any way, please call me 610.497.2299

Carolyn

Thank you Terri, but too much gas....The drink sounds good!! I think we all need a drink. I really can't drink, but if we ever get this reunion off the ground...I'm having two or more!!
*********************************************************

Part of the email that got deleted suggested that we try J & P Cater,The Swan Room/John Nichols. From my own past experience...these places gear towards smaller groups.

OR we can get the back room at Chickie & Pete's.

Has these avenues been looked at???
I'm just making a suggestion here....

Hi Terri,

I felt the need to give a voice of reason about the reunion. I wish I would have been able to make that 15yr one but acually 15 years ago I had a two year old, a one year old and was due to have my 3rd! Then the following year I had my 4th now I know why everyone said I was crazy. I use to go to the mall with my kids and I felt like a freak show. Everyone would stare at me and then ask are they all yours? I use to get insulted but now I can understand. Still would do it the same way all over again

Well said Carolyn....well said!!!!
Thank you very much!!!

Will somebody say something in reference to what we are trying to say here.....

Should we rethink SRH & just try to keep the cost down, just make it a BYOB (along w/soda, etc). My neighbor that owns Nick's Extreme DJ said he would charge us $350.00 for 5-hrs. I'll make some food & some chocolate trays. If decorations are important, then we can ALL chip in for that. We ALL can bring something. Like Billy S. said "we can get a roasted pig....even pizzas. Let’s all pretend that we are in 8th grade & our assignment is to ALL bring/pitch-in here. No one person has to carry the load. We “All” do something.

Like Carolyn said “Let's remember that we are all at different stages in our lives as far as health, finances, locations, life styles...

I truly believe just having good music, something to eat and drink and most importantly all of us together is all we need. Let's keep it simple and stop the bickering.”

Yes, yes, yes……
You can call me as well…215-779-5552

I actually like the idea of getting the back room at Chickies as long as being in a bar isn't going to be a problem for anyone.

House party, Somewhere in South Philly, St. Richard's hall...

We need to do something because if we wait too long it will be summer and then people won't be able to go because of vacations.

Having it at a Hall like St. Richard's is not a lot of work. I have done many parties like this and it really isn't a lot of work. If Vinny has it at his house I think it would be nice if everyone trys to bring something. Again, I have done these type of parties and with very little work we could make sure food, paper products, appetizers, drinks, and desserts are all taken care of...

Just an idea. I know that too many cooks in the kitchen can ruin the meal and I hope that is not what is going to happen with this event.

My vote is for a place in South Philly like JP, Swan, etc.

Not opposed to St R Hall or Vinny's house either.

Hey Everybody,
Obviously we're very grateful to everyone who put their time and effort in organizing the reunion. So, just waying in. It does make sense, [if we're doing the picture,] to stay in Philly. And a sit down dinner does seem a LITTLE formal, probably, since everyone will be mingling anyway. And Saturday is probably better for most people , considering Friday is a work day and a week day. One more suggestion - could we please add some rock n roll to the mix? Maybe a little Zepplin, Floyd, The Cars, Tom Petty, Bruce, Steve Miller, even a little ELO. Telephone Line, Kiss You All Over, Hot Child in the City !! It seems like no matter what anyone says now, there's gonna be uncomfortable feelings. I hope that's not the case. No matter where or when ,it's impossible to please everyone. Hopefully it all works out. Take care,
-Heather.

Ok guys, some input from the creator of the 1st reunion.
Here it is: after reading all the post (deleted or not).

I would have had it at STR but was not allowed. So that being said.........
Look at my pictures of our 8th grade graduation.

Where was it???????
Did we look like we were having fun??????

Hummmmm....

I'm thinking the problem with STR is the setting/cleaning up. Problem solved: there are many caterers that will do that for you.

Also it could be a BYOB (alcoholic or not).

There is always someone who does more than others. That is just the way it goes. I know this from the first time around. You can't make all of people happy all of the time. So keep the date and change the place. Happy medium. After that...... IT IS WHAT IT IS!!!!

Did I cover everything?????

Fight nice in the sandbox guys!!!!!

Luv you all! Really want to see you all!!!!

Maria Butto (Caroselli)

Amen Rosemarie!!!!

Yes,yes,yes... & I'm not having an orgasism...really!!

We all can bring something or whatever.I'll help in any way needed. Someone just has to let me/us know.

Carolyn made a good point too...we can make a list(like in school) & everybody can choose from the list(she was school teacher...Carolyn) & go from there.

I make chocolate goodies,so I will definitely make some chocolate trays. I'll try & send you a picture or post it on the forum. Good stuff...really.

Thank you again, for your honest input;-)

We love "the committe"...really!!!

Lets get this party started!!!

Lori...say the word...say it!!!

Thanks Joey for posting Bruce.
How about we get some Led out???

If the caterer does set-up/break down/clean up and we figure out the beverage situtation then I think ST Richards Hall would work.
