I can talk to him and see what is good but I need a head count. Anyway I really am with my peoples on this and I want this to turn out to be something to remember. Please bring it together yall.

Listen to this. Let's do bowling parties or splash parties or skating. Like A.C. Is cool but we r gonna be over that quick and if the turn out isn't SO great its because people don't want to go there. How else can we raise money??

Jackie-O most def. a skating or bowling party would be a great idea. We have looked into that already and you are talking at least $500-600 upfront to reserve 4 or so bowling lanes. If anyone is willing to put that money upfront or if anyone knows of somewhere we can get this thing cheaper then defiantly we can do a bowling party. Also Jackie, take into consideration the minimum profit that you will get from it. Trust me sis, it's not worth the time or work. Pls continue with the ideas however.

Hey Shavon, how are you????????????

Brandy Stewart

So.... I just got a little information from a friend of mine. He said that the Thunderbird Lanes on Castor Ave offers good packages. And... I just got off the phone with a place called north bowl at 2nd and poplar, they are in the midst of sending me all of their party packages! Keep on coming with the ideas!!!!!!!!!

12/22/08 04:16 PM #35

Brandy Stewart

And Jackie, you're not on the committee why????????????

Also, most of the places we're considering for the Reunion have a clause that we must use their vendors i.e. caterers etc. for the event!!

Jacquelin McKenzie

Ok Ang I feel you. I didn't even think of that. Brandy I'm not on the committee cause I don't drive and I got the boy so I don't want to dedicate myself half ass. I'm going to research some stuff but check out Lucky Stripe...I think that is the name of it. They are down town on 13th and Chestnut next to Olive Garden.

Brandy Stewart

Lucky strike wants like $12 for a shot of GG, so I can only imagine what a party will cost! I will check it out!

COme on you all, we need fundraiser ideas from you all not Just Jackie-o. The group is opened to ALMOST anything that would be profitable.

It's not hard to please me as far as food Brandy and Angela I know the hard work that goes into it. If I still lived up there I would help Angie but check out Strikes bowling alley on 40th and locust I had A bowling party for my niece there last summer!

There is also a garris lane's on 69th and market. What are the things that have already been done and what do you think we could do in this type of weather that people would actually come out and participate in?

12/22/08 09:56 PM #42

Brandy Stewart

HEY ALAN, where are all the pictures you're talking about, I would love to see them!!!!

12/23/08 06:14 AM #43

Jacquelin McKenzie

It just seems like this stuff shouldn't be SO hard. I see the same people posting. Where is everybody? I can't speak for everyone but I had a ball in school SO I want this to be aomething memorable. What's up with the sponsors? Is that list husky??

12/23/08 07:58 AM #44

Brandy Stewart

And what is this you say about sponsors????? LMAO ROFL LOL and whatever else means laughing... Sponsors to give money is what I'm assuming you mean, but i'm going to need you to clarify that. Ms Cassano (Our class sponsor) has been very helpful in many respects!

Jack you know my years in high school were very eventful, I had a lot of ups and downs. But I loved every minute of it, with my crazy ass self!

But, everyone doesn't feel that way! We sent notice to everyone we could get in contact with! We can't force anyone to do anything!!!

Hey Everyone!!!! Something's gotta give. There are many options...we need not to think so hard. But your right Brandy you cant beg anyone!!! So how about a party at Dave & Buster to benefit the class reunion...to maybe advertising at work, family, friends...to donate towards the event....Umm Im trying to think here.....hopefully the A.C trip pops off. IDK if maybe because its hella cold and nobody wants to hang out downthere??? There has to be a solution that can make this smooth and not costly.

Doing some research...Probably the most popular class reunion fund-raiser is the sale of admission tickets. In fact, keeping the ticket prices low to encourage participation.

How about holding a Bake sale or selling dinners?? I know the dinner idea can be easier said then done. But we all know ppl love to eat. Who can anyone refuse a good meal.

Selling souvenirs is a great way to raise money and provide keepsakes to classmates. Sell souvenirs personalized with the date of your reunion and your reunion logo (are any classmates graphic designers?). Purchase personalized Koozies, magnets, pencils and cups from companies such as PromoDirect and then resell them at a higher price to make money for your class reunion. Or ask everyone what kind of souvenirs they would like to take home in a bag.

The ultimate keepsake souvenir from a class reunion is a memory book, which is a professionally printed booklet that contains both candid and posed photos from the reunion as well as information about classmates' lives since graduation, including a directory of contact information.

You can hire a company that will do everything from sending a professional photographer to your class reunion to printing the memory book for you. (Just Google "reunion memory books" and you'll find several.) Or, if a classmate or a friend works in the publishing field, you can create your own.

You can earn money to pay class reunion bills by selling the memory books for a little more than they cost to produce. Don't forget to include in the price of your memory book the cost of postage and envelopes to send out the completed books. You can make a little extra money from your memory book by selling business-card advertisements, which you'll print in the book, to classmates or businesses.

These are a few tips Ive found that sounds interesting..We all love to share memories with family and friends.

I like the Memory book Idea i would buy one... And maybe in the book we can put our Yearbook picture in there and our picture At the reunion if we have A photographer! Bowling parties, Skating Parties or just parties in general are all good fund raisers.. More people do need to post on here though i'm in contact with alot of people so i'm gonna hit them up!

Thank you so much Haajar! I hear you'll be joining the committee! Why don't you call me we so we can dicuss some of these things further! There is a little background I would like to give you on most of your suggestions!!!!!

And CHRIS, why did it take you so long to say you're in touch with a lot of people???? Oh, you have work to do!!

Brandy Stewart

ANYWAY all of you grown people please talk about something interesting to take my business oriented mind in a different direction!!

I WILL START

We put a new tool in the edit your profile section, it's called secret crush! Everyone that posted in that line put yes I had a secret crush but they don't tell who!!! I want some dirt! If you tell me yours I'll tell you mine!

Also

One of my funniest memories in school is the day I decided to go skating! I put my skates on right after advisory and tried to avoid Barbie all day! But as I was skating down the hall minding my own business i hear "Brandy" (In a Bobroff voice) "Come back here and take those skates off!" and I kept going, then I hear "Brandy, keep going, and when you're done just come by my office to pick up your suspension notice" Now I don't understand why I had to get suspendended that day, because I don't remember seeing anything in the rule book against skating! Etc etc....

I have more, so let's make this interesting!

That was one of the funniest days ever. We were in Volk class and all u saw was Brandy skating back and forth down the hallway. Omg I still see it like it was yesterday. Seriously though I feel u about participation but it just irks me when I look at the number of people that actually say they are attending and the amount of people that haven't even responded yet and the reunion is coming really soon. I don't know yall. All I know is I'm there even if its 2 people. I love yall and I hope it turns out well.

Sup people. Here is a idea to pass around. I am a mason and my brothers and I often throw fish fries. We own a private club called the TMS Square club. I can get it at a cheap rate and fish fries and beef and beer are not very expensive to throw but can be very profitable. I can set it up so that there will be no up front cost and that any cost would would come from ticket sales. The club is in west philly @ 65th and race. I also have contacts @ club 121 in south philly. Let me know if yall want to book a date
