Hello Germantown Alumni (Class of 06-09),
As many of you know, in Sept of 2022 a team was formed from a original Facebook post regarding a High School Reuion for Germantown classes of 06-08. Those who found interest reached out to be apart of the planning team. From then we met every week to plan. Once we agreed on a theme and location the team put out the initial deposit as a collective to secure and date for the venue. On Dec 1st of 2002 we went public with what we planned and to start collecting ticket money. We knew in the past there were many failed attempts with other planning committees within the same class range where classmates purchased tickets and the Reuion never happened (Classmate were never refunded). We also know that there were a few smaller reunions where groups gathered in the park to unite.
We wanted too as a team to plan something "top notch" and and fun. We were planning a class reunion for class of 06-09 to be inclusive because many had concerns as to why they weren't apart. As time went on the hype calmed down and then many negative statuses and comments were made during ticket sales. Many classmates had some unbelievable negative comments and excuses that was very contradicting to their initial reaction; the team took all of this negativity on the chin and continued to plan the Reuion in spite of.
With all of this said, we were not able to meet our quota (minimum sale requirements) to have the reunion so the Reuion for Class of 06-09 is CANCELLED. If you purchased a ticket already, you will be refunded the cost of the ticket and not the transaction fee from website. Our apologies to those who did purchase tickets for any inconvenience in this matter. Refunds will be back no later than June 10th at the latest. If you purchased a ticket, please respond to email with a electronic way of receiving your refund. If you have any questions, please email directly to nbya19@gmail.com.
We would also like you to know that we had to also, as a team, forfeit our initial deposit due to unrefundable policy and funds could not be transferable to another date.
Hope it works out for the next group who decides to plan.
