Cheryl Phillips Hawkins

I have been a teacher in Barbour County since graduating from Concord College in 1992. I spent 7 years teaching Preschool Special Needs and have been teaching regular Preschool the last 8 years. I am currently at Kasson Elementary and Volga-Century Elementary. I love my job and my kids. I keep busy in my spare time with my 4 boys, we do football, soccer, basketball, 4-H, church activities and just about anything else that they want to do. We have raised hogs for 4-H projects and are currently in the middle of our candidacy for Sheriff of Barbour County. We are also planning a trip to Disney!

I have many memories, some of the best are the football games and lunch time in the "Canteen" and beyond. Those camping trips were a lot of fun too. I barely remember falling off the top of the dugout during the fun day outside. The teachers were playing baseball, I think?!
