In flight testing is the Triple Seven X, originally the 777, but on super-pills. With only 2 engines, will replace the 747 models. My thinking the 777X is the America replacement for AirBus's 380.

Great to see the super-size turnout at the "Beer Summit". Good to talk about the many adventures we have experienced in our journeys. Hope the pre-dinner gathering for tonight's events can find everyone's missing persons.

Patty, my wife and I really enjoyed the reunion get together last night.  Can you tell us the names of all the people who helped put it on?  Also, I want to thank you for maintaining this web site and letting us keep in touch with classmates' lives!  You are a gem.

Good Morning...  Janie Houser did the leg work having to do with the hotel and Mickey Stone did the work for the dinner.  This year was a much simpler reunion needing only the three of us.  And Thank You.

That's a wrap!! 60 years from High School to today, and have such a great group to share our lives with, thanks for hanging-in there.

We are a tuff bunch, must think there is some big reward at the end of this Yellow Brick Road. Its like the people that helped put this gathering together, knew it was going to be wonderful and exciting, but waited with crossed-fingers. A BIG THANKS you all did a terrific task prefectly, included is those that traveled many miles, just to touch and see your Classmates of your formable years. Life's journey has us giving friends back to our Maker, we must treasure those brief moments where we say thanks to those that make us the happy to be alive.

Patty, Mickey, and Jane, Thanks for all your work.  I think everyone had a lot of fun and everything went off without a hitch!  Thank God for the good outdoor weather.  It was even very comfortable for a guy from Colorado!

The Hur/Biden tapes are being released.  In one of Joe's comments he talks about being in Mongolia.  There were some Mongolian archers showing off their skills.  So Joe (so he says) picks up a bow and launches an arrow that hits a target 100, yes One Hundred Yards away.  That's the length of a football field.  William Tell has nothing on Joe.  I have never been an archer but to hit a target with an arrow at 100 yards, I would bet you would have to be aiming at a target that was almost straight down hill and you would probably have to have a 50 mile an hour tail wind.

Yes!  Big shoutout to Patty for the website and overall coordination, to Janie for the hotel coordination (which by the way was really close to the beer summit), and to Mickey for the Aunt Chilada's dinner - delivering great food and great service - I had never been there and it was awesome.  A great overall turnout!  As noted the weather cooperation may not have been Colorado cool, but it did beat Dallas by 10 degrees.  Thank you all!

A BIG thank you to Patty, Janie and Mickey for the wonderful Reunion....and Beer Summit.  The Duchess (Julie) and I had a great time.  AND, a continuing thank you to Patty for maintaining this website.

My apologies to Dawn McDonald.  She was standing behind my chair and was leaning on the back with her hand when I leaned back.  She did say that she would "never play the piano again" as I was apologizing.  Funny retort!!

Everyone was in a good mood and we completely enjoyed ourselves.  I was surprised at how many people I recognized from Monte Vista.  Many times it was the eyes for me.  Some are forever young I guess.

One suggestion.  We all had fun asking questions....exploring memories and reliving some moments in our history.  I would like to suggest that classmates continue that.  Ask questions and I'll bet you will get responses....at least from the people who get on the Message Forum.

See you down the road.  Once a Spartan....Always a Spartan!

The beer summit and the reunion dinner were fantastic. Much thanks to all who were involved in organizing it. There was some concern about my making it, but it turned out that my concerns were unwarranted. It was ' Much Ado About Nothing.'  I breezed through security with no trouble at all. My highlight of the night was when Kathy Johnson and I made eye contact, and she came rushing towards me, and we hugged. I was sweet on Kathy as far back as grade school, but I was too shy and introverted then to do anything about it. Kathy and I sat at a table with David Rainwater and his wife and had a good conversation. Kathy and I had both been married and had families. I was now divorced, and she was widowed, so we talked a lot about our families. I know that she and I will be great friends for the rest of our time on earth. By the way, Kathy did admit to me that she reads this forum regularly but doesn't participate in it. That's why I mentioned her here. I know she will read it. Lol. It was great to be united with so many of my classmates—some who, sadly, I had forgotten about. I'm looking forward to the 70th, although, admittedly, some of us will be showing up in wheelchairs. lol

PS. My best friend all through school was Wesely Hauver. We spent a lot of time together at the beer summit but I guess I sort of ignored him at the reunion to sit with Kathy. But we were at a tabler next to where he ws sitting and we did talk some there. I know he won't read this but I thought I should throw this in.

Jim, Dawn came up to me and I didn't recognize her until I read her name tag. We did talk a bit, and we both said it was good to see each other. She is a good person and a good friend.

I want to thank everyone who worked their butt's off for a wonderful evening. Familiar names and faces. I did get back to lincoln this afternoon. As I told some I like to drive to the tune of 2801 miles starting last Tuesday. Not sure I will ever go back to Phoenix but I will try to keep in touch. If I get down there for the larger horse shows I will let you know and maybe we can get together.

Since everyone was happy and no big snags, it was worth it!

For those of you who took pictures and care to share, click on Photo Gallery in the left panel and upload the masterpieces, we would all like to see them.

Thank you, Patty, for the picture suggestion. I regret that, despite having my phone handy, I got so caught up in the festivities that I failed to take any pictures. I look forward to any photos anyone is willing to share.

May I echo all of the praise for my classmates involved in putting the reunion together -well done. Am only sad that more of our class could not be there. We had a remarkable graduating class and it showed. Beer Summit was a hoot, hope to do that again.

Would also like to thank Patty for the wonderful job she does with the forum.

The Mexicans claimed that the "Sailing" Ship that crashed into the Brooklyn Bridge had all the latest 1800's technology!  (It's a joke)

I finally figured out what I want to be when I get older.  Younger!

Cell phones bring you closer to the person far from you.  But they take you away from the ones sitting next to you.

(Personal note:  I have believed for a long time that cell phones and the internet were the beginning of Armageddon.  And texting is just another way of saying I do not want to talk to you.)

Jim,

I agree. When the cell phones come out I want to leave.

Say a prayer for Bob Townsend. In the Tucson hospital - upper GI. Not sure what else.

What did our Parents do before the Internet when they got bored?  I didn't know so I asked my 10 Brothers and Sisters and they didn't know either?
