I don't know if you watched the Ryder Cup but some of the American fans embarrassed me.  Cheering is fine, booing is done but not good sportsmanship.  Dropping F-bombs at the competitors (golfers) is totally unacceptable.  Some A-hole actually threw a drink at Rory and hit Rory's Wife in the head after he was done with his round.  I think the Ryder Cup committee should come out after golf today or tomorrow and announce the tournament will never return to New York.  Maybe that would send a message to future sites that bad behavior won't be tolerated!

COURTESY.  Seems, for a certain segment of "people" to be a thing of the past....right Frank?

I can't help but point out the obvious.  The "people" from predominately Blue States...Sanctuary States...Sanctuary Cities...democrat side of the ledger seem to be the ones who cause the most violence and problems in the country.  Sure, there are exceptions, but look at the obvious.  Look at Congress.  Hell, I find myself rooting for Fetterman.  The "left" seems to hate our country and everything it stands for.  Now we have a socialist running for and probably will be elected mayor of New York City.

I'm glad I've rounded third and headed for home.  I'm not sure I would want to spend another 40+ years here.

AMERICA FIRST!!  GOD HELP US!!

Frank W/  I just  read what you wrote about the hijinks that took place at the Ryder Cup, and it sounded to me like there should have been imbedded 275 FBI Agents there, of couirse, nowadays that wouldn't happen since we have a Real Person who is in Charge at the FBI.

What kind of Idiots do we have running around nowadays that they don't even have a Sense of Dignity enough not to hit Rory McElroy's wife in the head with Snow Cone or whatever, Now of course we know that like an AR 15 the Snow Cone is too blame, damn that nasty old Snow Cone. My Father wouldnt tolerate Rudeness in a Man and my Golf Clubs would have disappeared for a year or more for a Dumb Stunt like that. There is an Element of Society missing that if we don't get it back, Society will not survive. That is an ironclad set of Manners, where if you don't like something, you at least can refrain from Idiocy both in Word and Deed.I guess they don't teach this in School anymore, preferring Gender Mutilation instead.

The New York Appelllate Court threw out in its entirety the 527 Million Dollar Verdict against Donald J. Trump that the AG of NY Letitiia James was able to Scam a Jury into believing, along with a so called Judge. This Penalty was based upon Punitive Damages for Fraud. Good  News. Puzzling is that the Court said that Trump had tried to Defraud the Lenders who loaned him the money, but that doesn't follow the Law either, for to Defraud someone, the alleged Victim has to actually Believe your misrepresentations, and Rely upon such to the Victims Harm. The Victims, Loaning Committees all testified they were not mislead by Trump, and would Loan him Money again. Jim Coats  explained this to all of us last year and very plainly so that even I could understand it. But maybe the NY Appellate Court wants to see Trump take this even Further in the Legal System, to prevent more people like Letitiia James from getting "too Big in the Britches' about their Governmental Positions. I wonder???

I am SO DISAPPOINTED that Trump is making his speech to senior military leaders about himself.  Yes....he IS a narcissist on steroids.  He is wasting the time of all those war fighters.  Thank GOD I can love his policies, because I sure hate his bloviating.  Apparently there is no one close to him who can say "Get to the point...shut up...and sit down!"

In defense of Trump....MOST if not ALL of the great leaders were narcissists because they had to be extremely self-confident and committed.  We NEED a strong SOB as Commander in Chief, but I get very weary sometimes.

There would never be another government shutdown if the first people to lose their paychecks were the members of Congress.

Just think, guys and gals, in two more years, we'll all be octogenarians. Did any of us ever think we would make it this far? A solemn tear and hats off to those who won't make it with us.

Happy Birthday Jim Coats, 78 aint so bad because you get the option of forgetting about all the ones that went before. The Strip of sand along both sides of Highway 1 here in S. Calif. that used to be called Malibu, high priced Parcels, are now just bare dirt because one of the towns or vullages has decided to make the homeowners whose houses were destroyed by the Newsom Fire, now have to get their new House Plans approved by local building inspectors, and they have to be erected at least a certain amount of footage off the ground, like your local Mobile Home Park, and the forward looking City Councilpersons are deciding that these houses must be interspersed with Low Income Housing to balance things out.

The next Beer Summit I plan to attend Oct. 30, 430 at the Vig, 40th Street.

I can’t help but laugh—and groan—at the absurdity of it. A “clean” continuing resolution, they tell us. Keeps the government open until November. Simple, right? But instead of a one-paragraph memo, Congress gifts us 24 pages of legal spaghetti. Honestly, you could boil the whole thing down to: “Keep spending what we’ve been spending until November. Signed, Congress.” That’s maybe 50 words. Tops.

Meanwhile, our troops—who actually are essential—get the privilege of working without pay. Congress, of course, keeps its paychecks rolling in right on schedule. Nothing like leading by example, huh?

Then there’s the furloughed worker routine. We send people home, tell them they’re “non-essential,” and then when it’s over, cut them a check for not working. Voilà—an extra week or two of taxpayer-funded vacation. In the private sector, that would get you fired. In government? It’s tradition.

And let’s not forget the “non-essential” label itself. If they’re truly non-essential, why are they on the payroll at all? And if they are essential, why are they sent home? Only in Washington can words mean everything and nothing at the same time.

At the end of the day, this is how government operates: if any business ran like this, they’d be bankrupt. Of course, the government is bankrupt—except for that handy little printing press they keep running.

So here we sit, watching the same old play. Shutdowns, CRs, 24-page nothing-burgers, politicians who never miss a paycheck, and taxpayers left holding the bag. Same circus. Same clowns. Different year.

LESTER...Right on the money!! Oh. Have I ever mentioned ...FOLLOW THE MONEY!! It's ALWAYS about money and power.

Jim and Les  The Legislation necessary to continue running things the way they have been running would Nullify the Big Beautuful Bill because it would necessarily, but illegally (Dems dont give a Rip about That) continue giving our Taxpayer Monues away to Illegal Alien Healthcare, the package Biden's Docusign Signature gave them by "Executive order" in the first  place. Democrats, Liars ALL OF THEM, love doing their little Capers as now, because they think they can win either way. So Les, we need a 24 page Extension of Time Bill just to keep things Running as close as it can be to the provisions of the Big Beautiful Bill. Gone are the days of being able to address one Issue at a time Directly.

I have thought of setting up a Service avialable to everyone, no matter what side of the Fence you are on, that takes every proposed Bill in Congress, and any on the  table to be affirmed by Sentate, and do a Daily Analysis in an Internet Format so that us Regular Folks that went to work after High School instead of stuffing the Coffers of numerous HighBrow Universities, in everyday Terms we could all understand how passing such Bills, Amendments, and Exec. orders were going to affect our daily lives. I know there must be some kind of outfit that pushes the Idea that they already do this, but if they are a quasi-governmental outfit, they have probably been subsumed because they are funded by the danged government.

This is something  that Elon Musk might like to take on as a Project, and offer it inexpensively, and have it eligible for a Tax Deduction on State and Federal Returns, for subscribing to, and it would bring We The People closer to a Constitutional Form of Government which limits Authority of the Government. I remember Justice Scalia laughing at the Government Attorneys when ObamaCare was first contested in the Supreme Court, because it was 2500 plus pages long Bill, and he laughed at the Attorney tellimg him, "You don't really expect me to  read all of this do you?"

Well said Gentlemen!  And remember when Nasty Nancy said after Obamacare passed, "We'll have to read it to see what's in it!"
