Dorothy Vogel France

After graduation, attended College of Idaho - graduated 1978 with degree in Sociology/Social Service. Returned to AZ. for 4 months then moved to NE. for year. Returned to AZ. in 1979, married in 1980. Worked as an Office Mngr. for several business before starting work with CPS in contracted positions in 1984. Following my marriage, we lived in Mesa, Gilbert, Apache Jct. then 17 years in Pinetop/Lakeside until our 2004 move to Tonto Basin. I ended my tenure with CPS as an Adoptions Case Manager and have been able to remain at home for our "son" (grandson) since our move. It is also wonderful to be able to do things with John on his days off since his schedule rotates.

During High School I was some what shy, but enjoyed the activities I was involved in. Orchestra was a primary activity for me; I did play Tennis my Freshman year; 4 years of French class and very little is remembered; enjoyed watching the school teams for Friday games and the fun activities afterwards - dances, pizza, etc. I did okay in English - the instruction from Mrs. Shumway and Mrs. Magnassun benefitted me in later years for writing court reports; Math and Sciences were not my greatest subjects but I passed. In a Sociology class in my Sophmore year two matters became evident to me - 1) I wanted to pursue a career in Social Work; 2) I wanted to adopt my children. Both of these came to pass, as did my marriage to John, who I met at church camp, August of 1972. God has blessed me throughout my life and I give him the glory and praise.
