Pam and I recently celebrated our 40th anniversary and did so by darting off to Costa Rica on a combined business and pleasure trip. Our son Scott is a teacher and football coach and a prominant high school here in the greater Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex, and our daughter Shelley is also a college graduate with her degree in Biology and has been a successful business owner also here in the DFW metroplex ever since her college graduation. Each of our kids are married with one child, son and daughter each, so Pam and I are truly enjoying the fruits of our labor by spending quality time watching our grand son and grand daughter grow up fast before our eyes! I fly extensively both domestically and overseas for my business, and Pam joins me on occassion as she really enjoys the European trips and especially found of our time in the UK, Ireland, Italy and espcially Lake Lugano, Switzerland. Competing in sprint triathlons is a new hobby, tennis is still a great thing, gaolf rules my life, yet table tennis and it's newly revamped Nationawide pro tour has re-entered by blood and I've re-entered it at the high levels I used to complete in and take advantage of my travels by competing on this circuit Nationwide. I've qualified for the U.S. Open in Michigan in late June...ho-hum..ha-ha. Though I miss the half time exhibitions we used to perform at the Phoenix Suns games during my high school years, it's funny how life changes goes so fast as we get older and though many people say it changes too...I find it slightly different, in that aside from the graying hair and extra weight which seems inevitable, changes are but what you make of them and in my/our personal case, it's been somewhat seamless in far more ways than any "real changes". God bless the USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Update: I completed this profile over 12 years ago so an update is needed. Biggest event is I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease seven years ago and have aggressively been trying everything to keep it’s growth slow yet in spite of these efforts I including DBS brain surgery in dec 2017, I’ve seen no relief and it’d momentum is tremendous three days. Needless to say the board of directors of my employer needed me to take early retirement almost two years ago now so my wife of 40 years has stepped in as my caregiver as I go through the motions of life as best one can. For those who remember me abc knew me well in high school, grade school (Westwood) or both I challenge you to recall a single instance when I was down or depressed etc...point being is though it’d been years since I’ve seen most of you please take Pause when I say don’t sit idle on the sidelines of life nor be an overly complasive type as neither gets you the headlines you’re seeking...as my largest take away from this disguesting disease which will be my demise fairly soon, is both an enlightening and a gods send to me and this coming from a typical over achiever who never settled for second best no matter the consequences...take aways are volunteer and be freely giving of your time no matter the cause and simply be kind to your fellow man at all times and for no reason at all !!!
Blessings!!
