I would like to thank everyone that attended the huge surprise birthday party for me on my 70th birthday. It meant the world to me because of my many medical problems the last two years. I honestly didn't think I was going to see 70. Elli, Kathy, Sandy, Greg, and Rabbit represented the class of 65 in a way I will never forget. I am very proud to call them my friends. My daughter Angela did a fantastic job of putting the whole thing together. I was humbled by the whole thing. Thanks again, and I love each and every one of you. Mike Smithers:    I was sorry to learn about the passing of Coach Tom Futch . . . a great role model.   He was the Varsity Baseball Coach at AHS.  I failed twice in tryouts to make his teams, but I was always impressed by his knowledge, and love of the game.  It was his favorite sport.  He played semi-professional baseball and was a professional umpire for college and semi-pro leagues. May he rest in peace

A celebration of life will be held on January 8th for my sister, Cheryl Bacon. Anyone who knew her is welcome along with everyone who knew the Bacon family. It will be held at Saguaro Ranch Park, ramada number 1 at 9802 N. 59th Ave in Glendale, Az from 12 to 5 PM.
