Just wondered if anyone has old school articles, pictures or anything else that might be interesting to post on the website.  You can email them to  me and I can add to the site. Thanks.

Laura,

I have several of the AHS newpapers from 1963 - 65.  I can go through them and scan some of the articles for you.  This could take a while, so it might be after the holidays.

I would like to thank everyone that attended the huge surprise birthday party for me on my 70th birthday. It meant the world to me because of my many medical problems the last two years. I honestly didn't think I was going to see 70. Elli, Kathy, Sandy, Greg, and Rabbit represented the class of 65 in a way I will never forget. I am very proud to call them my friends. My daughter Angela did a fantastic job of putting the whole thing together. I was humbled by the whole thing. Thanks again, and I love each and every one of you. I hope to see everyone at the class 70th birthdat party in November. Nick Bacon

Thanks for the prayers Maria. My health has improved the last few months largely because of all the prayers. I don't get on the site much, but when I do, I enjoy all the gossip. Hope you and yours are in good health and spirits. Looking forward to seeing you at our next function.

Mike Smithers

Mike Smithers:    I was sorry to learn about the passing of Coach Tom Futch . . . a great role model.   He was the Varsity Baseball Coach at AHS.  I failed twice in tryouts to make his teams, but I was always impressed by his knowledge, and love of the game.  It was his favorite sport.  He played semi-professional baseball and was a professional umpire for college and semi-pro leagues. May he rest in peace

Little known fact:  in the history of ASU sports, only 8 students lettered in three sports in the same year.  Coach Tom Futch was one of them!!
