John and I became good friends in grade school.I can remember hanging out at his house. He had a pigeon coop in his backyard at that time. We would play tetherball on the playground at Granada every recess, lunch and any other chance we had. I can still see him riding his cushman around the hood. He was a smart, good and kind man.
