Linda and her husband, Kail Grigg, died together on Northwest Flight 255 on takeoff departing Detroit, Michigan for Phoenix. There was only one survivor, a 4 year old girl. Linda and Bill grew up in the the same neighborhood and went to Montebello grade school. Bill says they were good friends but unfortunately did not see her again after graduation.

What a sweet, darling lady Linda was. She, Candy Sweet and I were good friends at NAU our junior year. We went to all lunches and dinners together that year, as we lived on the third floor in Cowden Hall.. What fun we had! She died tragically in that airline crash from Detroit to Phoenix in 1987.
