Received an email from Diana's husband, Leo Leon. They were just recently married. He said she passed from complications from Covid-19 on January 14, 2021. RIP
Diana was my dear friend from 1964 on. We saw each other through sad and happy times through this lifetime. I'm still processing her death and not a day goes by that I don't think of her. Cutting through my grief is knowing that the last three years with Leo were wonderful. They were so in love and happy. I miss her so much.
Diana was one of those special people that would encourage and motivate all of us in Student Government. We had many a lively discussion and with sometimes different views, but my recollection is that she was most often right. We were all better for her presence and her loss is deeply felt! George Cusimano who lives here in Florida near us, shares in sending his condolences as well. Very Respectfully. Dan Layton
Saddened to hear of Diana's passing from this evil virus. I recall thinking just recently, how it seemed our classmates weren't being effected by this and how thankful I was. I remember Diana's smile and pleasant conversations during student government, (as Dan has alluded to). I received this notice today, oddly enough having just come from getting my 1st vaccine here in South Carolina. Prayers for all! Doug Myers
Diana was a favorite classmate of mine in the 6th and 7th grades at Maryvale (now Cordova) Elementary School. I remember her as a top academic student and always very kind, and respectful of others. Diana always had so much to offer the conversation. I am saddened by her passing, but feel blessed that we were able to visit with one another at the AHS 2010 Reunion. Now, I wish we'd had more time back then. My sympathy to her family.
