Marianne has been fighting COPD for a period of time. I know that she wished to come to our 50th reunion, but her health kept her home. She lost her battle on Wednesday October 14, 2015.
On this Christmas Day of 2015, I'd like to remember my very good friend in high school, Marianne. We attended various school dances as "double dates" together; we both liked being a part of the football cheer support groups (cheerleading and Pom Pom); belonged in the same after school social club; and just generally liked sharing conversations about all the things going on in a teenaged girl's head. Admittedly I was a little jealous of the fact that she had a real "Princess phone" in her bedroom! (No, I never had one). She was a good friend.
