60th Reunion Survey

Let's consider a 60th reunion. We can organize it ourselves or, perhaps, join forces with a younger class holding their own reunion.

In any case, we'll need volunteers and a leader to head-up an effort to make it happen.

Hello Class of 1966 -
            
Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the Piedmont Community Hall has been reserved for our 60th class reunion.

There had been some preliminary planning for a 55th reunion, but COVID got in the way.

At that time, we thought that June would be a good time.  Long days, nice weather and a date before the summer holiday time began.

At that time, after discussing some sites, the Piedmont Community Hall was picked as the location.

It is less formal than the country club and provides more structure than a park like Lake Temescal.

It would be nice to form a committee like the one that was formed for the 50th.  

It would also be nice to have different people assist since the 50th committee did so much work.

A few of you have already responded to the brief questionnaire sent earlier and indicated an interest in helping organize the 60th event.

I envision having some events during the Friday, Saturday and Sunday time frame. 

At the 60th we had the Friday night party at the Lafayette Hotel in Orinda.  Close to twenty people stayed there during the weekend.  There was also a school tour.  Another group got together in Orinda for a Sunday breakfast.  There was also a golf outing at Claremont CC courtesy of Bill Banker.

During the 55th planning we discussed ideas such as a day on a bus in the wine country.  If the Giants are in town, attending a game might be fun.

One thing I enjoyed about the 50th was the opportunity to get together multiple times and have a bonding rejuvenation experience,
