Second grade at Havens...new girl with a long ponytail-I just knew we'd be friends forever...how long is forever? Never long enough...joys and sorrows of life...Havens, PHS...post college summer in Europe...marriages...births, deaths...Liz and I shared them all...sometimes physically there...last few years electronically. My heart is breaking today...but oh, Elizabeth, what adventures we will have on the other side.

I'm so saddened to hear of Liz's passing. She was a wonderful friend in every way. I remember rambling around with her in that big house on Seaview where she and her dad lived with the housekeeper. The house was so huge, but Liz chose to sleep in a tiny room behind her dad's (probably intended for a private sitting room or closet). It was cozy and safe and a great place to watch The Twilight Zone on sleepovers. That show gave me the creeps, but she loved it. I know Liz is with the angels now...she was an angel to me!

Deep, deep sorrow for such a loss. Liz and I used to see who could run faster. Few could keep up with me, but I couldn't keep up with Liz. Good times, good memories. I enjoyed catching up with her at the 40th; we will all miss her in 2016.

Not a minute in her life was Liz not an example to us all to be kind thoughtful and loving. A smile each time I reflect upon our limited time together.

Liz was a darling, beautiful woman. Fortunately I was able to speak to her right after she had returned from visiting her daughter and new grand baby in Europe last year. She was thrilled to hear we would be having a 50 year PHS reunion in 2016! She was planning on attending. Her passing was far too sudden and too early. She was so happy with her new grandchild. I remember her beautiful face and kind spirit. We played as children at school, Blue Birds and Camp Augusta. She was gentle and happy as a girl and lived a good life. I will miss seeing her at our reunion but have many happy memories of her laugh and lovely smiling face.

How I will miss seeing Liz Land at our 50th Reunion celebration. She was such a part of so many of our lives that the group will not be complete without her.
She and I were childhood friends. I would frequently spend the night at her house and was often given a tour of Mr. Land's greenhouse where he grew the most magnificant orchids. I never left that house without an orchid in hand to give to my grandmother.
Liz was the essence of sweetness and kindness. I so wish she could be with us. I would have loved to have seen her.

I wonder if anyone has more current pictures of Liz. I'd like to see her growth and dignified aging like the rest of us have shared.
