Dianne Marie Newlon Roisum

Graduated from Sioux Valley Hospital School of Nursing in Sioux Falls in 1963. Worked at Sioux Valley, in several capacities, until 2007. And in Sioux Falls, I remain. While my nursing classmates were going off to bigger and better things, I was getting married to a crazy TV artist and starting to have babies - 4 to be exact - AND THEY ALL SING. I was the Concert Choir nurse for 10 years, while they were all at Washington High School so got to travel with them to Washington, DC twice and Salt Lake City for a National Convention appearance, plus many weekend retreats. I am a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan (my youngest was a Vikings Cheerleader) and season ticket holder so go to all the home games, spend my summers at our lake cabin in northeast SD and veg in the winter. Both twins are fulltime in a care facility so I spend a lot of time with them also. I quilt, read a lot and spend far to much time on the computer, but then I'm retired so I can justify that - right! And I now only sing in the car when I'm traveling - by myself. All those years of smoking ruined my vocal cords. I am also the data keeper for my nursing class of 1963 so get to help with reunions for them also. We live in a townhome association so am involved in that also. Busy, yes, but what else do I have to do.
