Evans, David Ross Oct 28, 1943 - Dec 31, 2017 Preceded in death by parents, Fran and T. "Al" Evans. David is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, G Jean Evans; daughters, Ginger (Dave) Haugan, Rebecca (Dan) Baker; grandchildren, Tyler (Laura) Hughes, Zach Haugan; great-grandchildren, Harper and Addison Hughes; siblings, Tom (Brenda) Evans, Kathie Miller, Nancy Evans; and a large extended family and host of friends. David retired from Mutual of Omaha after more than 30 years of service. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 11am Saturday, Jan 6th, at Faithful Shepherd Preby. Church, 2530 S 165th Ave, Omaha. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Faithful Shepherd Presbyterian Church or the Josie Harper Hospice House, Omaha.

Dave Evans attended Washington grade school and grade seven at the old junior high. Many of you may not remember him as he did not graduate from TF. Riggs in '61 with the rest of us. He moved to Lincoln, Ne. and later re-connected with Buzz Burling in Omaha, and they remained friends for many years. I believe he was added to the class roster at Buzz's request. I became e-mail friends with him several years ago and it was he who notified me about Buzz's passing.
