James Harrington

James V. Harrington Jr., of Middletown, NY, a Senior Site Manager for I.B.M. in East Fishkill, and a 40-year area resident, entered into rest on Thursday, May 21, 2009 in the Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus in Middletown. He was 47.

The son of the late James V. and Margaret LeClaire Harrington Sr., he was born on July 2, 1961 in Brooklyn. NY.

Jim had received many awards for his accomplishments through his work with I.B.M. He was a real craftsman who could design and make anything. Jim was also an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed snorkeling and traveling to different destinations in the Caribbean. He loved to cook and barbeque and entertain friends and relatives. Jim enjoyed doing activities with his family, and especially his son Adam. He was also a member of the New York State Trapper's Association.

The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the loving support shown by Barbara and John Clark over the years and especially during this difficult time. Also a special thanks to Dr. Manuel Perry and his staff for their care and kindness.

Jim is survived by his wife and love of his life, Karen L. Harrington at home in Middletown; his son and buddy, Adam N. Harrington also at home; three brothers: Michael Harrington and his wife, Bonnie of Street, MD, Raymond Harrington and his wife, Doris of Staatsburg, NY, and Kevin Harrington and his wife, Jane of Montgomery, NY; one sister, Rebecca Forstner and her husband, Mike of Pine Bush, NY; numerous nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Sandra J. Miller of Middletown; brother-in-law, George D. Miller and his wife, Amy of Middletown, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, and father-in-law Roland Miller
