After graduation I went to Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, Kansas on a basketball scholarship. Transfered, with coach, to Marymount College in Salina after my freshman year. Married Susan Reed at that time. Susan gave birth to Melissa Love in May of 71 and we had a great time out there. I went on to captain the b-ball team that played in three national tournaments, one AAU and two NAIA from 71 - 73.
After graduation from college in 73, Sue and I turned down several jobs offers to return to NJ because we wanted to be near the shore. I had hoped to teach at a school along the coast.
When that didn't pan out, I stayed with my summer construction job and tried for the NJ State Police. One weekend a month from Sept. to Dec. I went to Trenton for different test, ie written, physical, medical etc. and made it through to the background check.
I got laid off from the construction job at Christmas, as luck would have it, I was then hired by Len Wessman, superintendent of LCCRHS Dist #1, to teach at Edgewood. So I withdrew from the police and have been a teacher ever since.
We built our house in Atco in 1975, had another child, Amanda Joy, in Aug. 78.
Took two trips across the country with the girls. One in 84, the other in 95. We love traveling out west to visit Sue's uncle in San Mateo, Ca. and her brother in the Phoenix area. He also has a place near the Grand Canyon.
We have college friends that we have visited in Okla. City, Dallas, New Orleans and outside of Atlanta and high school friends Skip Anthony and his wife, and others we see in Myrtle Beach each summer when we vacation with Melissa and her kids.
Really enjoy my wife, kids, grandkids and all the things I do with them, trips out west, beach and golfing.

If I really thought about it, I'm sure I could come up with many great and strange memories.
The quick ones would be about basketball. "Birdman" Bob Telling, Joe Coller, Chuck Lezotte, Mike Corson, Frank Flynn, and Skip Anthony. And let's not forget the young guys we had playing with us, Don Leahey, George Chant and Herb Calloway, sorry if I forgot somebody. New Years day practice w/ Berosh hung over, running steps with weighted vest and I don't know how many suicides. So many "great" memories.
The baseball team did pretty well our last year with some of the same guys too. Just ask Bob Mulhern about the coaching that year if you want an earful.
