Upon graduation I joined the Army and was stationed at Ft. Hood, TX.
After the Army I moved to the San Francisco Bay area. I lived there for 10yrs and worked as a mailroom clerk, blueprint operator and offset press operator.
In 1977, I moved to Van Nuys, CA. While living there I became an optition and worked for Pearl Vision. On Jan 16,1994 I was awakened by a 6.6 earthquake and I packed my bags and left CA that day, vowing never to return!
I went to Fayetteville, AR, where I had friends and had visited the previous fall. Fayetteville is where I met Betty (at church). We got together in 95 and we started a home repair and remoldeling business. We did all the work ourselves and we enjoyed it. Building large, multi-level decks was my favorite.
Sept. 03 we moved to the beautiful gulf coast of AL. Betty has COPD and the air here is much better for her. I went to work at The Paper Factory (a party outlet store, just like Party City).
I worked my way from pt sales clerk to manager. I just retired 2-28-09 and I'm loving it!!!
July 2011 we adopted a beautiful senior (10yr old) from the SPCA in Mobile, AL. Miss Prissy Marie had been there for 3yrs and was just waiting for us to find her.
Been very busy since Feb. 2014 when Betty was diagnosed with lung cancer which had moved to her brain, going back and forth to cancer for treatments.
