I graduated from Glassboro State College (now Rowan) in 1971. I taught 6th grade in Winslow Township for 31 years until I opted to take early retirement in 2002. I worked for a year selling Hondas and also worked for a financing and leasing software company. The company folded after the Iraqi war broke out, so I decided I didn't want to work holidays, weekends or summers so I went back to what I know best-teaching! I now am in my 6th year as a substitute teacher in the same district I retired from-Winslow Township. I practically work full time since I taught over 120 days last year!!
In my personal life, I married Sharon in 1971-we attended Rowan together and had two beautiful daughters and one grandson, Erik!! We will celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary in June. We still reside in Pine Hill and Sharon and I are on the same schedule-she substitutes also in Winslow Township-We both retired from the same district the same year. We travel to NYC often since our youngest daughter is an actor there. We follow her around the country wherever her newest gig is. My oldest daughter is a business owner in Maple Shade (Skye Hair Studio) and she recently got remarried to a great guy who also has a son the same age as Erik!! Now we have 2 grandsons!! Life is good and we enjoy every moment of it especially the summers!!!
