Saturday Parade

The parade had to be the highlight of the three days. While we were gathering around our float, a nice man approached us and asked us where we wanted the cooler full of ice pops. We looked around at each other and thought how odd it was that this guy was offering his cooler full of goodies; but none of us were going to turn him down. Levi finally realized it was Pat Noble! This was the first we had seen of Pat all week and didn't recognize him. It was a hoot!

We managed to snag more classmates along the parade route. Jennifer Robbins and Gaylene Pearson were two of the lucky ones who joined our crusade mid-way through the parade. We saw a few more classmates gathered amongst the on-lookers, but couldn't seem to persuade them to join the cause.

We saw many parents of classmates and smiled proudly as they snapped pictures to send to their loved ones.

Kelly Tegeler was the hit of our float as he learned from previous parades to bring a high-powered water gun to shoot at unsuspecting parade gatherers. However, most of them yelled, "Spray me! Spray me!"

We could also overhear, "Was that all they had in their class?" To that we responded, "Only the best of the Class of 1988 could ride this float!" :)

Sandy Kirkpatrick wasn't able to join us on the float as she was busy rounding up her mountain men and Indians.
