This is sad news.
I hav to say Bruce was a terrific friend. Friends through high school an a few years up until our very early 20's. At that point he seemed to hav disappeared.
Dropped out of sight. I hav always asked around about him, but never found out anything.
I'M hoping some information turns up in this forum. Or someone with knowledge of contacts me.
I hav so many memories and stories with him, where as reminders of our friendship great days pop up often. So the thought of him passing is very sad.

Bruce was my next door neighbor and best friend all through elementary school. He and I and his sister Cheryl walked to school together and hung out a lot. I credit him with saving my life at the Eastmont pool.  He had taken me as a guest and not knowing how to swim I had wandered into the deep end.  He saw me bobbing up and down trying to get air and put me on his back and carried me back to shallow water. The lifeguards never even noticed me. After I moved to California in 8th grad, I lost track of him and never found contact info for him again.  RIP Bruce.

I'm sorry to know of this loss. He was a sweet person all through grade school and beyond. All my best to family

This is sad news.  I don't have any details on his passing but Sherry had said quite a few years ago that Bruce had a heart condition and was unable to travel from Florida where he was living to Pittsburgh for any of our class reunions.

Bruce was a good guy.  I remember him well in a few of my classes in Highschool.    Sorry to hear this.  Rest in Peace, Bruce Bentley.

Sorry to read this news, Bruce and his family were active in the Eastmont Lutheran church, and so was my family, so we got to know each other through church activities even though he was a year ahead of me in school.  His family moved away just as we were becoming good friends, and I always wondered what became of him.  He was a big kid, high energy too, a lot of fun to hang out with.  Go with God Buddy.
