I am sad to report the death of Gary Cornelius. We grew up next to each other. I was at the funeral of his mother today and talked to his cousins Billy Miller and Carol Miller Patterson. Gary died of natural causes on about November 10, 2018. He was found at his home 9 days later and the coroner estimated the date of death. Nothing was put in any newspaper obituary.

Very sad news. I remember seeing Gary roar out of the parking lot after school on his green Yamaha 650 so many times. That's the image I'll keep.

I just recently reached out to Gary on FB because he suddenly stopped posting in August.  Now I understand why he wasnt answering.  Gary was a good friend.  He was one of my first friends when my family moved to the area and I found myself in Atlantic Avenue Grade School in fifth Grade.  We were friends.  We skipped school together and attended opening ball games at Forbes Field.   We did Gymnastics and Actobatic Classes together.  We worked at the great Circle W Westinghouse Ranch together.   I will miss him.  Rest in Peace, Gary Cornelius, your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Kathy,  Thank-you for posting this.  This is truly sad news.

I was very good friends with Gary and was shocked and sad to hear he passed. He was always a super healthy person and he inspired my wife, and I to be the same. We met in High School and he became and remained one of my best friends until his death. I have so many good memories of him that I could write a book. Does anyone know what happened to him or have phone numbers or email addresses for his daughters Leah or Rachel or his cousin Moose Miller? I sent Rachel and Leah messages on messenger but neither has responded. I think Moose still lives on Lilly Lane in Gilmore Acres but there is no number listed for him and everyone I talk to says that Moose is "The Invisible Man"  Please let me know if you have any info.

May You Rest In Peace My Good Friend. I think you are probably flying around Heaven on a motorcylce! smiley    I will miss you but I look forward to seeing you again some day.
