We were saddened to recently hear of the passing of Nancy Hershberger DeVitis back in 2014:
Nancy H. Devitis, 60, of Harrisburg, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 in the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. She was born in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late George R. and Mary E. (Lauer) Hershberger.
She is survived by her husband, John V. DeVitis, and two sisters; Lee A. Sindorf of Pittsburgh, and Susan H. Ecenbarger of Hershey.
She was the owner of DeVitis Marketing.
Nancy was an avid cook and backyard bird-watcher. She and her husband John enjoyed hiking in the mountains of New Hampshire, North Carolina and Tennessee.
A memorial service is planned for May 3, 2014 at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton, PA.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, Kempton, PA, where a memorial to Nancy has been established. Online gifts can be made at www.hawkmountain.org.

I remember dancing with Nancy at the St Maurice eighth grade graduation party. She was kind and a very positive person.

Like Earnie, my memories of Nancy are from St. Maurice days. Also, from Scouts. No antedotes to share, but we spent a lot of time together in the early days. Sorry to have her pass away without seeing her one more time.
