
RICHARD C. "RICK" MEGLAYE (1952 - 2007)
Richard C. "Rick" Meglaye, 55, of Greensburg, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, in Forbes Hospice, Pittsburgh. He was born Aug. 9, 1952, in Braddock, a son of the late Paul and Elsie Galket Meglaye. He was Lutheran by faith. Rick was a member and Past Master of Philanthropy Lodge No. 225 F&AM in Greensburg. He was very involved with his son; together they fielded a car on the local dirt tracks, with Rick as the crew chief and Ricky as the driver. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Jean Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Fran Galloro Meglaye; a son, Richard M. "Ricky" Meglaye and his fiancee, Heather Amick, and his daughter, Lisa Hayden and her husband, Christopher, all of Greensburg; two brothers, David Meglaye, of Livonia, Mich., and Kenneth Meglaye and his wife, Darlene, of Verona; two sisters, Evelyn Shafer and her husband, David, of Pittsburgh, and Lorraine Milroth and her husband, Dr. William, of McConnellsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. Services will be held at noon Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Robert A. Free officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. Members of Philanthropy Lodge No. 225 F&AM and Westmoreland Lodge No. 518 F&AM will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home to hold Masonic services.
