Fred L. Mitchell, 49, Indianapolis, died September 27.
He was a self-employed woodworker.
He received an associate's degree from an art school in Pittsburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Services: 7:30 p.m. Monday, October 1 in Flanner & Buchanan Washington Park East Funeral Center, with calling from 7 p.m.
Survivors: wife Dawn Thomas; stepdaughter Brooke Voigt.

In a situation where everything came together in perfect timing, the day we found Fred Mitchell's obituary, we made contact with Laurel Krause, who was a neighbor of Fred's on Beulah Road. She remembers Fred as the neighborhood paperboy.
Fred is also survived by his brother, Bruce, who most likely was in grade 9, when Fred was a Senior at CAHS. Bruce still lives in the East Suburbs of Pittsburgh.
