JEFFREY MOORE -- 14 May 1952 - 29 March 1978

Jeff, a First Lieutenant in the US Air Force, was killed, along with Captain Charles H. Kitchell, in the crash of an F-111F on March 29, 1978.  Their plane was struck by lightning as they were returning to their base at Lakenheath, England, after a routine training mission.

Another F-111 was also struck but managed to land.

Both planes were part of the USAF 148th Tactical Fighter Wing. Lt. Moore was the weapons systems officer.

Jeff is survived by a daughter, Kristie Moore Reid, who is married and living in Denver CO with her husband and two beautiful children.
