James Simko, 58, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, at his residence in Old Monroe [MO]. He is survived by his mother, Catherine Simko of Turtle Creek, Penn., brother, Albert Simko and wife Suzanne of Winfield [MO], and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Simko in 1972 and his brother, Edward Simko 1996. Memorial service will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Salem Product Pantry in care of New Salem Baptist Church, 1383 Highway EE, Winfield, MO 63389.

Jim endured a lot of teasing from Mary Anne Kuznicki and me in math class -- thinking it must have been Algebra II. I remember him with a smile on his face, with a blush in his cheeks.
