It is with deep sadness that Jan Daily Watson has informed us that our classmate, Lenny Suley, passed away on Friday October 28. He was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. He had brain surgery to remove the tumor and was in round 2 of chemotherapy. He passed out suddenly as a passenger in his car and was not able to be revived.
Lenny was currently living in Chicago with his wife, Donna and daughter, Layne. I’ve been in touch with Lenny since 2020 when he contacted me about our class reunion. Donna reached out to me yesterday after finding our email conversations on his phone. She’s setting up a video/pictures/memories to be shown in Chicago on December 10 and has asked if any of his classmates have pictures or memories to share. If there is a way to announce his passing and gather memories, please forward them to Donna: d.sulley@att.net. Thanks and may he Rest In Peace holding his favorite golf club! Jan
The Pittsburgh Celebration of Life for Lenny will be Friday, August 4, 2023. Mass at St Maurice at 10:00. Lunch at Assti's steak house (Grandview Golf Course) at noon.

Sorry to hear this. Len has been my Bud since ninth grade. We use to practice boxing in his basement when we were in Jr. Highschool. We also helped teach each other how to play the Guitar. We had a garage band in Jr. High School and we both played Guitar in it.
I have been in touch with Len for the last coulpe years, primarily through Facebook. I tried to get him to come to the last reunion but he couldnt make it.
This is a bit of a shock because he seemed to be good and healthy.
We will missy you Buddy. We will catch up someday.
Rest in Peace, Lenny Suley.

I am so sorry to learn of Lenny Sulley’s death. While Lenny's and my paths diverged somewhat in high school, we were fast friends in our junior high days. Lenny and I were band mates in the Unlucky Few, which, we thought, was the best rock band at Forest Hills Junior High (Lenny played a classic Gibson guitar, I played drums, and Gary Stewart and Jimmy Nuzzo were on guitars with Ralph Culver our singer). We played lots of dances and several school assemblies, and I remember that we did a performance on WQED TV (played our version of “Good Lovin’” I think - Gary Stewart or Ralph Culver can correct me).
Lenny and I spent lots of time together outside of the band. We generally hung out in our neighborhood. And we did get in our share of kid-level trouble, but always had fun. I remember several nights when we were staying at his family’s cottage on Conneaut Lake that we snuck out and took his parent’s boat to water ski in the dark - super dangerous but we had a blast. On many a Friday night Lenny and I shot pool at the bowling alley where his parents were in a league, and Lenny was quite good: he could actually "hustle" older kids AND adults for money.
Lenny certainly was my good friend in those days. I don't know why we went our separate ways after junior high, but I count Lenny as one of my favorite people in my life. I wish he and I could have gotten together to swap memories. I am sorry to know he’s gone.

Very sad news. As Jim Kelly and Gary Stewart have both mentioned. Lenny was one of the guitarists in our little junior-high garage band the Unlucky Few. Lenny was just the epitome of a nice kid when we were 13 or 14. Be at peace and travel well, Lenny Suley. My sincere condolences to his family, loved ones, and friends.

Lenny and I were other golf team and played numerous rounds together. I remember practicing and hitting balls out in his yard. We both went on to Ohio University. Lenny would visit Pittsburgh many times over the past years and our paths always crossed. I saw him as recently as 2 months ago. Deep sadden by his passing to my friend.
