I received a FB message from Andy's sister-in-law, Roberta.   She says that Andy died one year after her husband, John, an attorney in Pittsburgh.

Andy lived in Maui, Hawaii for the past 40 years and ran a construction crew there.

How fitting that Andy went to Hawaii and lived there for 40 years.  So so sorry to hear that he is gone..he was a free spirit.

Thinking of Andy reminds me of such fun times with Patty Gump. He was a good time. So young.

Among my fond memories of Andy is the winter night I was riding with him in has stepdad's car to a junior high party at Sharon Burch's house. The English Leather was so strong his father had us roll down all the windows. I think we both hoped to impress the girls and were looking nervously forward to slow dancing to House of the Rising Sun.

I too remember alot of fun times with Andy.  The parties in high school at so many of our friends homes, dancing to the latest tunes with the lights down low and of course his and Patii Gump's high school romance. Thanks for reminding all of us of the scent of English Leather that was so popular back then.  I had forgotten that very important detail about the men in our lives in those days!

Just seeing this notice about Andy's passing. Lots of good memories come to mind. Early morning stops at Vinnie's for heartburn after sneaking into FH pool, crazy white water trips, swim team and just fun times. A true free spirit for sure. I last saw him in the mid 70's and he told me that he was living in Hawaii. No doubt Hawaii and Andy we're a great match. Rest in peace old friend.

Andy was a really nice guy. Come to find he lived about 5 miles from me on Maui. I had a moment thinking of his service on Baldwin Beach. That would have been a lovely service. Many blessings to the family.
