I went to Geneva College from 1999-2004, graduating with a BA in English. Then I did a stint as a waitress to garner fodder for my writing and to figure out what the heck I wanted to do with my life, before moving back to Beaver Falls and getting hired at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2006, where I have worked as a registrar assistant and currently as an academic advisor (and in another quarter, hope to be teaching on the side). In August 2006, I began work on my MFA in Creative Writing at Chatham College. I got married June 1st, 2007 to my college sweetheart and found myself pregnant with our son one month later. Since then, I have been having the time of my life raising Ares, my son, with my husband, working on my masters, and looking at everyone else's kids and lives on facebook :0)
