I went to Wightman and Allderdice with Joe, who lived 2 blocks away. It was always exciting to be around Joe, who at times would do some wild things. I hope peace comes to his family and close friends.
I lost track of Joe Moose after fourth grade at Wightman, until I ran into him unexpededly in line at the movies in Philadelphia in 1975 ("Rocky Horror"). We had a warm reunion and Joe sold me a $10 bag of grass.
A blessed memory.
Joe and I were good friends at Allderdice. One summer he invited me to go with him to Camp Accomack on Peabody Pond in Maine, a girls' camp that was run by Joe's mother. We were there for a week, maybe two, helping with getting the camp ready for the campers, before the girls arrived.
Just one of many good times with Joe!! Last time I saw him was at our 50th reunion.
