Mark Johndrow

matches his coach from seton a bit scrambled but a good egg

They let you coach BOONIE?

Donald Rusnak

Boone carries a gun for a living. I think the least we have to worry about is weather or not he was a basketball coach.

Paul Boone

Mark and Don, I shocked neigh mortified that you two of all people would question anything in the world that I have done or will do!!! Are you kidding of course I coached. Sports is something I truly cherish. I am addicted to all sports. I can only attribute my addiction to another addiciton I had....GAMBLING...I still have a bet going on with a feller about the exact date as to when Christ will return to earth. I know it to be in November 2009 when he has to come to vote. See, Hall and Oates are running against him and his father for the postions of God and Jesus.

Now on to pressing business. I will be in Avoca this weekend. Now, I have not been to God's country in some time. I am looking forward to seeing the old haunts. I have to find a new place to play gin rummy. I understand Martha's Soda Shoppe is closed. Terrible shame. I spent my formative years in there playing cards, fixing machines, fixing card games(it was my railroad from 87-90), doing bad things to young ladies and older ladies, I even think that was the site of my 1st dope purchase in middle school. Ahhhh another valley landmark cast aside in the ever hope of revitalizing the area. Bring in the youth they say. Well there is nothing there for the youth. No dens of aniquities, no back-alley brothels, no seedy havens of illrepute. I am shocked. What has the valley become? The same thing it always was a middle-aged to elderly community.

I, honestly do, miss Avoca.

I think I would love to coach orphans. I have been a Little League Coach and LL umpire for short stretches and by FAR the worst thing about either is the Parents. I am a parent, I understand the changes in your brain that happen when you become a parent, but holy crap. Please people get real. Show up on time, let the kids be kids, kids play the game your playing days are over, and if you wanted to micro manage the team, get off your butt and volunteer as a coach. If not, sit down, shut up, don't contradict the real coach in front of the players and cheer your kid on when they do something good. And remember they might not be good.

Parents are all nuts. They try to live vicariuously through their children. The kids just want to play and the parents want to play too. Well I say create over 35 leagues for all sports. Then the parents will get to play, hurt themselves, miss work, lose their jobs, and then lose their homes, then maybe they will back off the officals and let the kids play the game.

Avoca was nice. However, Newark New Jersey can suck a bag of dicks. I was trapped in the airport for 7 hours. All car rentals companies can fuck off also. 2 car rentals companies told me I cannot drive the car into PA. I thought that was the purpose of renting a car. To drive to where YOU need to be. Fuck 'em hope they all go bankrupt.

I saw some crazy band while I was there. The lead singer was a dyed red headed young lady and she was hot. Her voice however sounded like a bag of cats being taken to the river. The band was horrible but she was fun to look at. I requested Hall and Oates and she told me sure. Then me mate got a little too banged up and stopped functioning. IT WAS AWESOME. Truly a sight to behold. It was like he was stoned on ether. Legs stopped working, arms couldn't move, eyes were pure white, no color. AWESOME!!!!

Let's talk about Reunion door prizes.

What could the person coming from the farthest away expect to get? I think I have this one in the bag. Forlenza might be a tiny bit farther away as the crow flies, but I don't think he is going to make it. :)

FYI I take store credit from any national chain, Cash, and middleswarth BBQ chips. Just can't find anything with that level of MSG out here in the land of fruits and nuts.

Boone -
Hall and Oates have decided to haunt me. The local music club that I volunteer at (help people find their seats or sell tshirts in exchange for seeing the shows for free) have booked John Oates. Darryl is conspicuously absent and not sure what to expect. Isn't Darryl that talented one? It's a very small club and I always get to meet the artists at the pre-show staff dinner. So on Dec 5 think of me as I dine with one of your idols. I'll be sure to take a picture!

Krista,

Truly a miracle. A sure fire gift from the gods. Where is the altar you performed the sacrifice located? An evening of good food, over priced cotton t-shirts, and GREAT MUSIC. John Oates will perform a magical show. Complete with fairy dust, angel dandruff, and elf brew. I, being the #1 fan of Hall and Oates, have the inside track as to why Darryl Hall will not be present. He will be away in the islands for a sabbitcal. He will be penning new songs for thier upcoming album "Philadelphia Moonlite". A collection of peaceful soliliquies set in the key of love. Also, it has a been a hard run contest for God and Jesus for the mop topped boys from South Philly. Darryl needs that island getaway to rest and re-couperate for their win. I say this because the headlines will read "Hall and Oates defeat God and Jesus". Sort of like "Dewey defeats Truman".

So Krista, you be sure and tell him that I say congrats in the win. Feel free to bring along your lap top and show John these posts. I am sure he would want to meet me after he reads these quasi-blogs I post about him. I may be giddy as a school girl if I ever do get to meet the boys. Probably the best 2 people ever to be born in the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Paul,

You surely have been in the sun too long chasing mexicans. I judt dont understand how you missed being a fan of 80's metal hair bands.

08/05/09 01:17 PM #220

Paul Boone

Craig,

There are reasons too numerous to list as to why I have utter disdain for 80's hair metal. I will be kind enough to list a few...here they are in no particular order...

1. Acid washed jeans
2. Aqua net
3. Winger..mainly Kip Winger
4. Boys wearing masscara should be in transvestite burlesque shows not packed arenas..see Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, Ratt, Cinderella, etc etc etc..
5. Over use of Wa-Wa peddals.
6. Too much pyrotechnics not enough real music
7. Queensryche...what the fuck does that mean anyway
8. I didn't have enough teen angst to like that type of music
9. Not enough LSD in the parking lot for my liking..also no nitrous(hippie crack)
10. Did I mention Winger?

Deborah Pace (Oprindick)

People...who is sick & tired of classmates checking in only to reveal they live in the USA...WTF?? Why even bother??

08/12/09 01:39 PM #223

Donald Rusnak

As the reunion gets closer, here is what we need for this web site. A recent photo randomizer. Or maybe a quiz. Every 30-60 seconds a new picture pops up. Then after about 3/4 of the time the name appears.

Lets face it, we aren't spring chickens any more, we almost all have less hair (women and men), and some of us haven't seen the others since the 10 year or longer!

just an idea.

oh and maybe we throw in a picture of Hall and Oats every now and then just to 1. keep boonie interested and 2. support their bid for God and Jesus.

08/19/09 10:18 AM #224

Paul Boone

I agree with Mr. Rushnak. A random picture generator filled with photos of Hall and Oates would be an excellent addition to this fantastic website. Darryl and John are waging a campaign for the highest offices any duo could serve. God and Jesus are prestigious positions. Not any ol' Johnny come lately can be God or Jesus. It takes a special kind of person, a person filled with greatness to be God or Jesus. So please vote in the November elections. Pull levers 3A and 6A. C'mon a change is needed.

Also adding updated phots of classmates could be helpful. High school is but a blip or blur on the radar of life. I have changed, hair got grey, wildness got toned down(there was an incident at SeaWorld), all the things that come with getting old. So, Linda so what you can do. You are a mad genius with computers, lets make it happen.

On a lighter note 2 nights ago I was working in a known human smuggling area. I was not alone I had a partner and another unit. Well, the other unti I was working with pulled up to a known smuggling intersection and honked its horn. 9 aliens came running from the brush and tried jumping in the unit. It was awesome. Some days my job is easy...honk a horn and illegals run right to you.

unit = sqaud car.......

Lois Vargo (Bondurich)

Ok, so I guess I am confused on this Hall & Oats / Boone toting a gun thing.... More important - Why Is The Reunion in NOVEMBER????? Its like so totally cold then. So can somebody respond to that?? And Paul you didn't have the hair to enjoy the 80's. Keep the Peace...
Lois

Amy Lapinski (Bartels)

It was cool to see some of the names on this message board. Paul, you have one of the most dangerous and prestigous jobs in our country. Thank you for what you do for us everyday!

I do agree with Lois, why November? during the Holiday? The kids have school, it will be cold, people who do have time off, will have to go back to work on Monday which means they will have to leave on Sunday....don't like driving with a hangover! And the traffic will suck!!!!!

09/03/09 01:59 AM #227

Lois Vargo (Bondurich)

Yeah! (Yes) I do agree with Amy, you will all HAVE to get off all interstates if I get behind the wheel and drive with a hang over. LOL. Inside joke, only a few of you know why I wouldn't be able to do that.
I vote for having it during winter break in Hawaii.

09/03/09 09:51 AM #228

Amy Lapinski (Bartels)

AMEN, SISTER! A beach reunion would be a blast! Lois, if you are driving, I'll lead the way for you!

09/03/09 05:58 PM #229

Donald Rusnak

Amy, Lois, some of us transplanted people have to travel back to PA from time to time to see weather. If I lived in Palm Springs (where the weather is Hot, Hotter or HOLY CRAP MY SKIN IS ON FIRE)I'd have to have a summer house on the north pole.

09/03/09 09:18 PM #230

Lois Vargo (Bondurich)

Hey its not that hot here. Hall & Oats are old and they still performed here.
Going back to PA is like BAD MEDICINE. But sometimes you just have to do it. I just wish I can bring some of this weather with me.
Donald how are you going back for the reunion?
If we had it in Hawaii, there are no snow delays. :)

09/04/09 09:14 AM #231

Amy Lapinski (Bartels)

Donald.....I spent 6 years in Alaska....loved every minute of it, but I have seen enough snow and cold weather to last me an entire life time then right after that I spent 4 god awful years in New Mexico, where the weather was hot, hotter and OMG my skin is melting (no beach, no body of water to go with it)..... so give me the sun, sand and beach and I feel at home! I do miss the mountians being right outside our windows. Here we have to drive to go and appriciate them. Who would have thought that we would miss these things from home......I don't miss much, but the mountians are one of them. I do enjoy the drive through them when I go home. Twice a year is usually enough....not much there any more.

09/09/09 08:14 PM #232

Paul Boone

Oooooh for Christ's sake(November election right around the corner) the weather is not bad in New Mexico. I spent 5 months there in Artesia. My God(see above) there is nothing in Artesia but a Wal-Mart.

I would enjoy the cold weather. It is starting to cool off here in Texas. It was 91 today instead of 110. I dispise the heat. That friggin heat miser can keep it. I never get to Pa much anymore. So I am looking forward to coming. Winter be damned I need snow.

Enough on that I am going to get drunk with some Mexican woman named Grace. I should be mainlining tequila in 2 hours. WOOO!!!!!!

VIVA LA HALL AND OATES

09/10/09 03:06 PM #233

Donald Rusnak

Holy crap Amy how did you keep from cracking. Alaska to New Mexico?

I'd take the Alaska, but you can keep the NM. I was in Alaska for the summer solstice and that was great, a couple of minutes of dusk then back to light, but I don't know if I could handle the months of darkness.

09/10/09 05:44 PM #234

Craig Hopple

If you guys want to have the reunion in Hawaii, you better start driving now. Dont wait until the last minute. i hear the traffic crossing the pacific is brutal.

09/10/09 09:32 PM #235

Paul Boone

Craig;

I kid you not about this one. Years ago I worked at UPS and one night Dave Policare told me and Larry Shotwell, that he DROVE to Italy over the weekend on a new bridge America built to Europe. I shit you not. I pissed my pants laughing at that statement. I think I laughed so hard I blew-up every capalary in my body. I hyperventaliated laughing. So I think we should hold the reunion in Europe. Preferably Northern Ireland. Londonderry is beautiful at anytime of the year.

I am not yet fully recovered from freebasing Jose Cuervo. By the end of last night I was wearing an eyepatch and swashbuckling with a sword I extracted from the wall. Average Joe's sports bar may never want to see me again. Although, the owner loved me. He kept giving me shots and talking about baseball. WOOOOOO....

Update on the race it seems as if Hall and Oates have a slight lead in the polls. They lead 48% to 45% with 7%(the friggin Hindus and Buddists) not responding.
