NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK!?!?!?!?! Dropkick me Jesus. They are still alive? I thought they perished in a late 80's turf war with the grunge kids. Didn't Kurt Cobain kick around Donny Walhberg or was it Donny Osmond? Now, there is the true defintion of Super Group. The Osmonds six singing, fun loving, siblings from a a demented poligamist family in Utah. Really if we didn't have the Mormons to make fun of then well.....

Craig, I do walk the Rio Grande with a gun or two. However I usually leave the shot gun in the unit. I carry my .40 cal , M-4(smaller version of the M-16) and of course my IPOD. As always "Kiss is on my list and Maneater" are blaring in my ears as I tell the Mexicans.."Me voy de esa manera!!" and point towards Mexico..You have to translate..Call Ron Rinaldi he can help.

I would like to add that you all are missing another great band of the 80's. TOTO. They wrote a song about Rosanna Arquette for fuck's sake. Diligent in their research and showmanship. Ahh, I saw the rains down in Africa and let me tell you I would write a song about it. Truly, a moving experience when the lions come back to plains to stalk prey.

I am putting this in black and white right now. If they fricking DJ at the reunion doesn't play all 80's all the time I am stomping off in disgust. I will throw a tantrum right there in the lobby and then I will pelt the poor prick with stuffed mushrooms until my demands are met.

I take back all that I said about New Kids on the Block. They didn't get beat up by grunge kids. They were locked away for the safety of the world. It has come to my understanding that the New Kids on the Block are evil encased in human form, creatures devoid of souls, mindless pervayors of sin. Now some Godless, heartless, and souless music promoter has unleashed these heathens back upon God fearing earth. I can only speculate that no earthly man can save us. We need help of a higher power. Some man who has been around since the dawn of music, back when music had no words just tones, clicks, and whistles. We need Dick Clark to rid us of these dangerous miscreants.

Save us Dick Clark..please you're our only hope.

Paul, I am so glad to know you haven't changed! I have many memories of you torturing Ms. Houston at CCD classes.

Michelle,

I am shocked to learn that you are not like the rest of the Avoca public school children of the 70's and 80's. Most of us have re-pressed those Sunday morning CCD memories. It had to be the longest hour of the week. 10-11 a.m. was a brutal time of my early childhood life. I had to make the time as fun as possible. So torturing Mary Houston was just one way of making the time slip by. Michelle I have so many behind the scene stories of Mary, my parents, and me in meetings in the office of St. Mary's school. I think she kicked a trash can once in a meeting. I used to fire her up, mainly for the reason of 'Just because I could'. That woman dispised me well into my late 20's. Although, after I became a teacher she called me and asked if I had any text english and social studies text books. She was doing tutoring for the Diocese and need MY HELP!!!! It was gratifing to hear her ask for help.

Anyway how is NYC? I am jealous that you live there and I only visit. Mostly when I go to NYC its to Flushing/Queens. Home of the Mets. I need to go on a saturday and come down by your place and just get rocked at my FAVORITE bar in the world McSorley's. There is no other place like it on earth. If McSorley's is too packed slip over to the 'Johnathan Swift Hibernian House' also a good time.

Paul- Are you kidding?! Watching you get in trouble at ccd was the only thing that got me through that hour! Those classes were so tortorous! That is too funny about Mary Houston calling you up. You always knew EXACTLY how to get under her skin.

Definitely give a shout when you come to NYC for a visit! I've spent many an hour at Swift's and it is right around the corner from my apartment. McSorley's only serves beer, so I don't typically go there. I prefer a pint of cider and you can only get that at the real Irish places.

Michelle, I am glad that I kept you entertianed for an hour. It truly was my honor. I wish you told me that then because I would have pulled better stunts if I knew someone liked it. Actually, I think Kelly Magestro liked my shananigans as well.

McSorley's only serving beer is the reason why to go there. They brew their own beer in the basement and pump it right upstairs. You have to mix the two(a light and a dark) to achieve a full McSorley's experience. I remember 4 friends and myself went there for an afternoon drunk before a Met game. They were stunned whrn I ordered 20 beers to start. By the end of the shift, 4 hours later, we were ordering 60 at a clip. They loved the ambiance and experience. They all return whenever they got o NYC.

Well MJ is gone. He was not BAD, nor was he a SMOOTH CRIMINAL. No longer can he see the MAN IN THE MIRROR and ask himself is he BLACK OR WHITE. We can all SCREAM that another monster has been dispensed with. BILLIE JEAN was not his lover and she also was not mine. Although he was a THIRLLER to many, to me he is sicko. So long Michael.....

The streets of San Francisco just got a little shadier with the passing of that bulbous nosed crime fighter Karl Malden......

Also, on a more upbeat note. With the recent passing of Michael Jackson the African American music community needs a new leader, a front man, someone the enitre community can look to for inspiration when writing music....I am proud to announce that new leader will be....

TERRANCE TRENT D'ARBY.....

Hey Boone-
If you've been thinking about a visit to PA, now is the time. Hall and Oates will be playing at the new Casino at the end of July. Here is your chance to see your idols live in the valley. I was in PA last weekend and saw a giant billboard with their picture and couldn't help but think of you.

07/10/09 01:58 PM #208

Paul Boone

Krista I will be in PA next weekend..when is the show? One of me Avoca mates is tying the knot and I am attending the event. If Hall and Oates, which is the best band ever!!!!!!, are in the valley I will be front row center. If that happens I would be "Livin' in a perfect world"!!!! WOOOOO!!!!!

Hoo-vee-ay, the French Canadian pronounciation, that Billboard list is a complete lie, total fabrication for foolish people to buy bad records. It contains acts which are comlpetely ficticious. Michael Jackson, clearly not a real person, more plastic than anything. Elvis Presley, bloated, bad acting, figment of American imagination, and Janet Jackson, really, Janet Jackson, didn't she steal away as a child and marry El Debarge? For Fuck's Sake man, El Debarge?!?!?!? Everyone knows the truth, Hall and Oates simply ruled the 80's music scene. Hair metal was put to death by the greatest elevator music making duo of all time.

I actually had to say this to a person the other day
"¿Qué usted hizo ese perro pobre y donde es los pollos?" It means "What did you do to that poor dog, and where are the chickens?"

Gina, I will be in town this weekend. A boy who I coached at Seton is getting married. He grew up in the yellow house next to O'Malley's corspe house. He is a bit younger than us but I have known the family all my life. He is a good egg, just a bit scrambled.
