WOW! Pops roller rink, what a flashback. I think I went there no less than twice a week with Jen Vermack, Tammy Stoss and Kelly Rogers. What a great memory.

Hello everyone, This is such a great website.

I was reading the messages here and read one about Robert Kasisky wondering if he was deceased. He is alive and doing well. He is married to a beautiful wife and has 2 beautiful girls. I do see him and his family often.

I really enjoyed this website!! Wish everyone well.

This is a response to posts 145 146 or 147 I think. For Christs's sake why in the ever lovin world would anybody go to a Robert Palmer concert and not only that but admit afterwards. I understand that the 80's were a weird decade but jeeper's cat man Robert Palmer. Isn't he dead now by the way? I am glad that many of my classmates choose, under their own free will and power, to see Robert Palmer when he made a stop in Wilkes Barre Pa. Now I am fairly certain that only 4% of the graduating class of 1989 went to see Robert Palmer, but 80% of the class went to see Skid Row, Guns-N-Roses, and Aerosmith at Pocono Downs. I however missed both of those events as they did not peak my interest. I may have been the only Dead Head in the class of 1989.

Krista, I have always liked you, I always thought you were a real nice person. I knew that life would be good to you and I still semi-believe those thoughts. With that said Websters dictionary defines courage as "the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear; bravery.-think those thoughts." Well I submit that Webster is incorrect. Courage is admitting, wheter in a moment of weakness or otherwise, that Huey Lewis and the News is AWESOME. I look back on it now and see that you may have been duped by his quasi-look-a-likeness to Judge Harry T. Stone of 'Night Court' Its OK we can still right this ship, I will do so admitting also. HALL and OATES is the BEST band ever!!!!! No other musical ensomble has had more #1 hits than John Hall and Darryl Oates. True masters of their craft. Really I mean this. Maneater, Kiss is on my list, Sara sad eyes, the list is endless.

I have to admit after the Robert Palmer breakdown and the Huey Lewis debachle it feels good to let the world know that Hall and Oates is the best band ever.

This is for Paul Boone....damn Paul you're in Texas now? The last time I saw you I thought you were back home and than before that I think you were in another state as well. We need to get the old gang together for some fun, but it's kind of hard to locate everyone. Maybe you can get Keith to chase you up the street for old times sake. He never could catch you. Didn't you have a name for him?At least we had alot of laughs. See you at the reunion!!

Okay, first I feel a little funny posting this, but here goes, believe it or not, I promised my mother, LOL!
As some of you know, my 3 year old son is battling Leukemia. He was diagnosed March 26, 2008. He has undergone 13 months of chemo and has 27 more months to go. He takes chemo everyday. Of course, since the treatment is so long, it is also very costly. My family established a medical fund when Danny was first diagnosed to help offset things the insurance doesn't cover. Each year they do a lottery drawing for the month of June based on the PA evening number. If anyone is interested in buying tickets, let me know. You may also see things around the Wyoming Valley with Danny's picture and info on it. His prognosis is very good, but the treatment is hell on wheels for all of us.
Thanks for your consideration and I apologize if this isn't the correct forum to list this on.

HA! Boone that's hysterical. You know the real reason a bunch of teenage boys thought a Robert Palmer concert was a good idea. That's right... DANCING BIMBOS.

I don't remember if I mentioned it or not (I'm too lazy to go back and look it up) but that was by far the worst concert I've ever been to. File yet another of my experiences as "seemed like a good idea at the time".

Yes donald so true. Thought the bimbos were gonna be there on stage.

Any golfers out there????

any interest in hitting the links ??

sure Mark I'd love to go out and try the new wedge set I got. Your plane or mine? Tell you what... I'll meet you in Vegas.

Boone,

I think you certainly have courage to state that Hall & Oats are the best ever. You have such conviction, I don't think anyone would debate you on that.

05/16/09 12:14 AM #177

Mark Johndrow

cannot keep a straight face when trying to debate that Linda. we will just have to agree with Boone

Mark, Can I go golfing with you and Donald? Only thing is my Airstream 2012 is on the fritz. Will you please swing by and snatch me in up in Texas? You can locate the city I live in by typing 'Little Mexico' into any quality GPS device. I firmly believe that I live in Mexico. I was walking along the Rio Grande river the other day and I'll be darned there weren't a fist full of Mexicans screaming from the their side of the river. They were saying all sorts of things that decorum prevents me from typing here. It was great. I always fell so good when people notice the I am doing my job well. VIVA LA U.S.....that is Spanglish for Canada Rocks....by the by just give a 15 minute heads up before you touch down...I live close to the airstrip...

Perhaps you've gone crazy from all that Southern heat. Huey Lewis rocks and will also be first in my heart. I have tickets to see them later this summer and the 13 year old inside me is squealing. I can appreciate your devotion to Hall and Oates. They were actually my first concert. But there is nothing like hearing the opening chords to "I Want a New Drug" to take me back to my high school days. Good times. I guess we will just have to continue this debate on the dance floor at the reunion.

Krista,

I am COMPLETELY jealous. You saw Hall and Oates. I rave about those fruitcakes from Philly and I never seen them. Lucky gal you are. However, the south Texas heat has boiled my brain but not to the point of making Huey Lewis cool. I know different musical tastes for all people. I appreciate that the 13 year old is squealing with anticipation of hearing the enitre 'Sports' album all over again. They will play nothing but those songs. I beg of you jump off the Huey Lewis boat and land on the mothership known as 'Hall and Oates'. Please I implore before all sanity is lost. Those PA winters are frezzing your brain run for the side rails and jump onto the party bus that comes out of Philly. WOOOO!!!!!

P.S. The opening notes of the Pink Ployd's 'Dogs of War' takes me back to a study with Mr. Cebula at the start of junior year. I cannot explain it but it does.

P.P.S. We WILL settle on the dance floor.

Boone...

You totally crack me up! I have a picture in my head of you standing at the border, shotgun in hand, and the ipod plugged in listening to Hall and Oates. Ever think of maybe doing some Springsteen and singing "Born in the USA" as the mexicans try to get under the fence?
