School Story:

There are a lot of them, but probably my favorite, and I've already brought it up to Jackie (Kelly), was when we were waiting outside the gym entrance for a Pep Club meeting or something, she was merrily singing "King of the Forest" from the Wizard of Oz, and we performed a gold-medal worthy feat of athleticism by performing hand stands - she was still singing! Amazing; however we found that our elbows weren't quite up to the task, and one of us (who shall remain nameless) ended up falling on her head while the other showed absolutely no sympathy and fell down laughing - guess you had to be there, but still one of my fondest memories!

Update for December 2015: Going to finally retire in January 2016 so that my husband and I can enjoy the rest of our lives discovering more about this great country of ours, and spend time with friends, family and loved ones - we've been right outside Charleston, South Carolina since August of 2013, and couldn't be happier with the environment, the weather, the people, the food.......it was just a VERY timely move while I was still in "Corporate Land". Now that we're both going to be retired - there's so much to see and do while we're still both in great health - time to make hay while the sun shines! Let me know if you're ever going to be in this area!

Sue Ellen: It just sounds as if you and Michael and your children are living the good life, and that it has been 100% intentional. I sometimes wish we lived closer to the old homestead, but our life in South Carolina has been very good to us - so no regrets. Can't wait to see pictures of the reunion, but can't be there this time! Be well, Melanie.

RIP, Cheryl.  I remember many fun PJ parties at Cheryl's house:  Telling stories to try to scare the bananas out of each other; trying (vainly) to stay up all night; and then our most frightening attempt at 'making each other pass out' - when it worked on Suzanne and we couldn't wake her up.....until she finally did:  Lesson learned!  Great memories of an all-around great gal and a good friend!  Melanie
