Attended Luther College. Majored in English and Speech/Theater. Graduated. Spent six months at a canning factory to make some money. Went back to Luther and got education degree. Moved to Twin Cities, substitute taught for 3 years.
Got teaching job a little town called Remsen, just east of the Middle of No Where, Iowa. Moved to Remsen just as future wife was moving to Minneapolis. Taught for three years in Remsen, all the time traveling 5 hours one way on weekends to see future wife.
During this whole time, during the summers, I worked for the Luther College Upward Bound program, which helps low income students through high school and into some form of further education. In '97, went to work for them year round. Been there ever since. Married Kath in 1998.
Our daughter Moira was born in 2007 on Halloween, 13 years to the day to the hour since we first met.
Currently taking on-line classes from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh to get another Bachelors degree, this one in Media Arts and Animation.
Still a Jack of all trades, master of none.
