Terry Farnsworth

Terry Farnsworth

Terry Farnsworth was born on January 25, 1967 and passed away on February 9, 2014.  From an early age Terry is remembered as an exceptional athlete.  He played football, basketball, and baseball.  He was one of those players who "made a difference" on every team he played on.  Terry went on an LDS mission to Japan for two years and later married Kathryn Hoops.  It was always in Terry's blood to push himself hard and he did and this included academically by earning a Doctoral degree in Pharaceutical Science.  He raised three children while earning this degree.  Terry will be missed dearly by all those who knew and love him.

I played baseball with Terry in the outfield and watched him develop into a wonderful individual. I always regretted not following up with him later in life and am so sad to see he passed away. He was always a great friend to me. My heart goes out to his family.

okay this is still super painful for me. but I wanted to Express how amazing this man was. He was strong and there for me at a time when I was lost and alone. He honestly saved my life. I will never forget him. He will forever be in my heart and mind. If he hadn't been so strong maybe I could have been there for him.

I love you Terry and I was so very happy to hear from you after we connected on Facebook. I will always remember you. Even in second grade when we hated waking up for school, we went anyways, sometimes just to see you.  The Colorado connection with your family didn't happen, but I can't wait to see your smiling face again some day😀

It's funny how life works... Terry and I hated each other when we first met.  I played football for Pleasant View and he for North Ogden.  We were arch enemies until ninth grade.  When we combined teams we were unstoppable.  From that time on Terry and I became good friends and hung out all the way through our senior year at times.  Not sure anyone knows but Terry and I were recruited widely to play college football.  We were sought after to play tandem Safeties.  He as free safety and me as strong safety.  However, when college coaches came to see us we just didn't bite.  We both wanted to serve missions and neither of us was sure what would happen after that.  I don't have many regrets but I do wish we would have played together on the collegiate level.  I miss Terry and sometimes when I think back on some of the good times we had I tear up.  I hope Terry is in a good place and that he has found peace.  And I really hope there is football in heavan cuz I would love to play on his team once more...  Miss you my brother.
