In Memory

David Meredith

David passed from cancer yesterday.  I'm so sorry to hear this.  I talked with him as we were getting the reunion plans started.  He was hoping to attend if all went well with his illness.  Rest peacefully.

Dave was a major part of the golf community when we were growing up in Plymouth.  Many of us were "members" of Hilltop Golf Course.  $25 for an annual junior membership.....unlimited golf before 3pm during the week and after 3 on weekends.  We enjoyed the freedom of golf and acting like actual club members.  Many of us went on to play on the high school golf team.  Great memories!!

And who can ever Dave's 442.  One of the best muscle cars ever.  And his was cherry.  RIP.

I remember David from Gallimore & was looking forward to seeing him at the reunion (he was hoping that he would be able to attend).  Was really shocked & saddened to hear that he had passed away.  Such a nice guy--he will be missed!

Dave was a family friend.  I remember several trips with the family to his house when we were young kids and the hours we had together.  I reiterate the 'nice guy' comment.  He was a genuine kind of person.....and, yes, his 442 was awesome.  I was really sorry to hear of his passing.  On to a new journey, Dave.

I had several classes with Dave in our senior year.  He was a great guy, never pretentious even though he had one of the best cars in the student parking lot, that 442.

I am so sad to hear of David's death.  We attended school throughout our school years...starting at James Gallimore Elementary.  I most remember him in grade school. He was always so good looking, and a nice guy too, but he had a gril friend in 6th grade (my friend Linda Cather)!  In high school, David sat in front of me in history class, one of my favorite subjects.  He always seemed so shy to me, we only spoke once throughout that whole class, and that was when his walet had fell out of his back pocket and I tapped him on the shoulder to let him know that. I regret not speaking to him more, but I was so darn shy too!   In reading his obituary, I am happy to see that he had such a great life.  RIP David
